Streamers don’t write code. Bungie is -blam!-ing up their own game because they don’t understand it, and they don’t know or respect their customers.
-
Streamers are the voice, and Bungie wants in on the competitive and twitch scene
-
If they actually wanted in on the twitch scene we would have trials.... we don't.
-
Balance, look at crucible
-
Crucible is fine you can use anything and be successful. I definitely don't run the meta.
-
This is a lie, against a team using meta will have a high chance of stomping. Recluse is the best smg in pvp, with a .4 ttk after any type of kill to buff master of arms. For a legendary, Luna/not forgotten melts, wardcliff is easily the the best rocket heavy to use on a team; dust rock is a very effective shotgun. Meta is a must at high level play, going for legend in glory is silly to try if you’re trying to be that dude that’s against meta, meta isn’t meta because it’s popular, it’s meta because it is the most effective weapon in crucible.

Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 3/24/2019 7:19:32 PMI got to 5500 not using the meta so it definitely isn't a must at high level play. I don't know who told you that one. You can use whatever and be successful if you base your play style around whatever it is you are using. Everything has strengths and weaknesses.
-
lie. this is a demonstrable lie. not using the meta will get you stomped. your team at least. if you didn't use meta your teamates did and are you solo queing. so sick of the toxic naysayers that can't understand their experience isn't the only one. people can have other opinions. thanks!

Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 3/25/2019 1:21:52 AMWhat's a lie? I don't use the meta. The meta doesn't magically make you good. Couldn't tell ya how many times my teammates ran the meta and had a whopping 8 opponents defeated and I was dropping 40 in survival of all things not running the meta. Yeah I usually just play comp solo-duo. No real reason to jump into a team of 4 since i'm only going to 2100. Getting to 2100 is pretty easy. Only time I ran in a team of 4 was to finish off 5500. The game kept matching me with teammates nowhere near my glory level.
-
lie. nevertheless I read the rest of the thread. so long as the other guardian accepted your lie I suppose it's over. I just don't want you to get away with lying in this way and having no one say it to you.
-
I'm really confused as to what i'm lying about. Could you please elaborate? Do you struggle in PvP or something and need the meta to blame it on instead of just accepting the fact it's probably just you that's bad? 🤔 please don't tell me you are one of those guys.
-
I suck and you use meta. just make sure not to lie about it.
-
What meta do I use? I don't run not forgotten/dusk rock... I rarely use a shotgun at all.... 🤔 last I checked luna/nf/ any shotgun/spectral blades was the meta.. wish ender/ erintel, ace of spades/ erintel, bygone/ erintel and a titan is pretty far from that 🤷♂️
-
I agree, I don't use the meta often at all. I only do sometimes in Comp when I'm up against a team using all LH/NF and DRB. But I am loving my Thorn and will continue to destroy the douches using the meta with it and my Recluse. Thorn is actually really freaking good. I love the two tap plus poison kills I always gets. People get salty a'f.
-
Meta has a high chance of stomping people, I never said you can’t build a playstyle, that’s you just trying to flex. Stop playing, a team running a meta team and loadout have the highest chance of beating a team, is it a guaranteed win? No, I never said you can’t win, you could win because of many variables. Maybe they used all their supers too early, and now y’all are pacing your supers. They let themselves get reckless, and you just play that against them. But 7 times out of 10, you’re going to lose, or it’s going to be a tough fight. You can’t sit and say it’ll be an easy win, and getting to legend on a long winning streak is something than eventually getting there, I don’t know how you got there.
-
How is not running the meta flexing? 🤔 The meta works great for some people. It doesn't work for me. I'd rather lose a gunfight because my aim is bad vs rng luna/nf flinch or relying on an rng shotgun battle. I got to 4200 by duo queing then my buddy and I realized we needed a team since the game was giving us 200 glory players at teammates so we put one together and got to 5500... I mean... one of the guys was a sniper the other used a bow and a shotgun... i don't think either of those are meta either. When my buddy and I get on our friends accounts to get them pinnacle weapons it takes less then a day to hit 2100 duo. 32 is my longest win streak.
-
Only reason I even bring stats too is because a better sheet means a higher elo, which means you’ll have a higher chance of matching your skill level. So chances are you’re playing against players who aren’t too skilled, so I don’t know what’s up with that. I won’t be impressed with you beating an average player, because again we’re talking every day player, but using your loadout against high elo rating players? I want to see that go down, not everyone is top tier and can make things work with ease. Remember that last part, content creators like cammy, and baken, not everyone could play like those guys, or the many top tier players, so meta is what they need to have a chance.
-
Edited by Dirge: 3/25/2019 2:23:13 AMI'll continue to destroy you with Thorn. If you have to use Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten for everything, even in Quickplay, you aren't skilled. I get 30-50 kills per game almost exclusively using Thorn. Thorn is actually very entertaining to use and with the Recluse it's truly an awesome loadout. I rock Thorn, Recluse and Hammerhead with Transversive Steps.
-
I’m only grinding to get it, I prefer last word and sole survivor, I still haven’t seen thorn being an issue for me
-
As long as you don't use Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten with DRB and Wardcliff Coil in Quickplay you're fine by me. I applaud you.
-
Aren't my skill level? You play the same 3 teams at 5500. Good to know you think zkmushroom/purechill/osk are low skill players. You match them like every other game.
-
They aren’t, the game will match with anyone if it’s taking too long to match your skill level, so I don’t know why you keep adding things that aren’t being said, but your stats don’t seem to reflect what you’re sharing, which is weird.
-
Stats don't mean much of anything. Spent 3 months solo/duo queing at the 3500 to 4200 range before my buddy and I gave up and got a team. SBMM will drop you to 1.0 if you spend forever playing at your skill level... that's kind of the point of it... you play people at your skill level which I was. Now I only go to 2100 which is honestly a joke.
-
I’m having trouble believing you weren’t carried for that 32 win streak, because I’m looking at your stats and mine are slightly better. I would expect a 32 win streak player to have a high win ratio, and stats.
-
Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 3/25/2019 12:05:33 AMDefinitely wasn't carried. And MMR doesn't affect match making at all in comp.... your glory score does. Gee why so salty... oh wait I see you getting bodied down there in the 1600's. Looks like you are playing past your skill level 😂🤣 Yours are better? You are a 1.3 in quickplay.... that's terrible. Come holler at me when you've played a 1000+ matches 3500 on up solo-duo about comp kd.. down where you are at the majority of your games you should be around 2kd+ not barely going positive.
