It's litteraly the easiest gun to avoid.
Very distinctive sound so when you hear it.. jump in the air. That's it.. problem solved.

Pretty sure Legendary Rocket and Grenade Launcher is easier to avoid than the Colony. You can't be too sure how long those tracking explosive is going to last, and half of the time, I get killed from it from the wall rather than the ground.
