Hell yes.
No offense but if people REALLY need government help they by all means give it to them. However, I do not want my tax paying money to go to some family with 6 kids who are capable of working but refuse to because they rather play with the system and get free money. And from personal experience and what I've seen is that most of those people sell and do drugs. So yes make them take the damn test.

And why are you so entitled that you think that "what you want" matters?

Edited by SweetTRIX: 1/16/2013 1:30:41 AMWanting to make sure your tax dollars aren't being given to drug users = entitlement? Wow.

So you support drug testing every government official and contractor?
-
Sure, why not?

Edited by SweetTRIX: 1/16/2013 2:18:49 AMAny government job i've ever applied for requires a drug screening as a condition of hire, as well as reserve the right for random drug screening of their employees and I don't see why that would be a problem. Drug tests are fairly non-invasive, i've done them 5 times at this point and i'm only 28. However, working for the government and recieving government welfare are two very different things. Welfare recipients have practically 0 accountability as it stands, imposing an annual/semi-annual drug screening is not asking a lot. Government employees/contractors usually have things like this in place, but even if they didn't they actually have a set of paramaters and responsibilities to adhere to or they will lose their jobs.

I used to think that it was a personal freedom to do such things but once someone is giving you money without having to do or prove anything then I think certain rights should be given up. Drug test the lot of them

A drug test won't necessarily catch a dealer, though. In fact, it won't fix most of what you've complained about here.

Yeah I know. I posted that with blind rage.
