The gameplay can be a lot of fun. I've just been a bit turned off by the whole "defensive meta".

No, it's really bad. As someone who has played since launch, the defensive meta is alive and well, and it is awful. Thank god with Grudge and Glory they're helping combat this.

Most people being overly defensive to the point that it's better to wait for the enemy to attack and then counter most of the fight. They made some tweaks to certain things in the last update that will hopefully balance things out between aggressive/defensive gameplay.

Ohh. Thanks. I think I have noticed this. At any rate, I seem more likely to win the more patient I am.
