The requirements are absolutely retarded.
What kind of end game activity is gonna require you to have a faction? I go straight vanguard, screw factions.
And wtf with the level 25 cryptarch? Please enlighten me on why you think an end game activity would require a high cryptarch level.

Who cares about requirements? It's literally a small hoop to jump through but it's also one that makes people say, hey, I actually WANT to grind my cryptarch levels.
-
How does anyone not have a high cryptarch? My main warlock I had, was rank 100 with cryptarch before I deleted
-
That isn't the point. I don't care if your cryparch is over level 1000. It shouldn't have anything to do with an end game activity's requirements. Plus, I recently switched from 360 to PS4 so all my shit's not leveled, lol
-
Then why aren't you arguing bungie about the Laura Prima Emblem that requires end game completion? Since when is rewarding grinding ever a bad thing?
-
Finishing the end game content isn't hard. All I need is skolas and some public events, and I haven't even had a PS4 for a month. What is hard is trying to grind more in an already grindy game to unlock another grind mode. It just makes no sense to lock people out for not having a high level in something completely unrelated.
-
Dude. Grind more? Only if your casual. Even if you play 1 hour a day, or even 5 hours a week, these requirements are a joke. I can rank up a faction in 3 hours without bounties. Cryptarch is even easier. Like the "triumph" challenges, these should be things you happen to complete as you play, not something completely seperate like rank up a brand new faction.
-
Well, I'm so fucking glad that you can level up a faction in three hours. How would I have survived had I not known that? Seriously, you just said it takes three hours to level, and if you need 10 for a faction and 25 for cryptarch, that right there shows how much time it would require to be able to even play the shit. Any other requirements other than appropriate gear is just plain dumb.
-
75 hours(cryptarch)+90 hours (factions) It's a mere 165 hours. I know little kids that grind more on pokemon.
-
That's nearly one full week straight of grinding for a dumb game mode to be unlocked.
-
That is a lot of game time. Just because we can do this, does not mean it is fun for people who play less. Some people have jobs. I could fulfill this requirement, but it is a huge timewall between someone and end game content, and it commits a cardinal sin of video game design; it isn't fun.

Vanguard technically is a faction..
-
Exactly. But the post is saying you need to have vanguard, crucible, and factions leveled up. And I say that vanguard is a faction but the post seems to say they're separate.
-
True.
