Okay, so I am on the forums every day and I constantly see you kids whine and complain. So, after much thought and trial and error (in my head) I believe this is the most effective way to use Xur. So, sit down, buckle up, and get ready for this. First, I think that the first Tuesday of every month Bungie should post a poll on the homepage (not in the forums, good gosh it is much too hard to find a specific thread) There would be a secondary, alternate poll on the second, third, and fourth Tuesdays. I will touch on this later. The first, primary poll would consist of six choices of armor for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks each. It will also have one primary weapon, three specials, and two heavies, for a total of six weapons. Six Exotic engrams, consisting of one helmet, one arm, one chest piece, one leg piece, one secondary, and one heavy. Everything else he sells can be the same, such as random Sparrow upgrades and synths. Every poll would work exactly the same way. Basically you vote for your number one choice out of the choices there. So if you really want a primary weapon this week you would vote for primary and not be able to vote for any other weapon for that week, however there is a chance for Xur to sell, say a primary weapon AND a special weapon engram, so that you could technically buy two weapons in one week. Once an item has been sold by Xur it is removed from the poll for next week, leaving five items for the next week, then four, and then three. Each week it removes the item sold so that you have one less choice for the following poll, sort of like musical chairs I guess. This prevents having the darn Sunbreakers three times in a single month. As I’m sure you’ve noticed (at least I hope so) that this poll has two extra items for every month. The two items that won’t be picked in the first month; instead of carrying over, they should be removed from the list and not be eligible for the poll for next month. They, however, can show up for the month after next (the third month) **Restrictions** 1) Once an item has been picked it will not show up for the rest of that month and the entirety of the next month. So, if say Red Death is picked the first week of the month then it wouldn’t show up for the remaining three weeks, plus the four weeks for next month so you would essentially not see it for 7 weeks after the first month, but if say it was picked the last week of the first month then it would only be the four weeks of the following month that it was restricted. So it involves a strategy of sorts with the entirety of the community to get what you need, when you need it. 2) Any Exotic weapon will not be sold if the primary way of earning this weapon is through a bounty or a raid. So, I’m sorry kids, (I’m really not.) but you shouldn’t be able to buy Thorn (e.g.) or the Vex Mythocast (e.g.) 3) The prices for special weapons should be raised to 20 S-coins. That would make it 17 S-coins for heavies, 20 for specials, and 23 for primaries. That is all my fellow Guardians. Please vote on this poll if you think this is a good idea or not, then go forth and kick much A. [b]EDIT[/b] Okay, so it just occurred to me that occasionally (every 6-7 months or so) there is a month that has five weekends instead of four. Well remember how I said that there are two items per category that do not carry on? (You better) Well for that weekend they could sell [b]BOTH[/b] sets of leftover items. So you can buy 2 different weapons, 2 different Hunter armor pieces, 2 different Titan armor pieces, 2 different Warlock armor pieces, and 2 different Exotic engrams. Thoughts on this new idea? Good? Bad? Ugly?
