Armor from Iron Banner capable of reaching level 30?
I'm hearing conflicting things here. Some people say the Iron Banner armor cannot reach level 30, some say it does. How does anyone even know this yet unless they've been saving ascendant shards up and have been grinding the hell out of iron banner all day?
I see no reason why the iron banner armor wouldn't have the same light potential as raid armor. Otherwise yeah, everyone's gonna be pissed with Bungie. It would be a pretty stupid move for them not to make it reach 30.
I'm also hearing the higher your rank gets, the more gear is displayed from Lord Saladin to purchase. Not sure if this is just a rumor either.

2 отв.No. The armor will not get you to lvl 30. Essentially a pointless event if your a 27-29

2 отв.Изменено (Degroff): 11/18/2014 6:58:54 PMI cannot confirm this but I've been curious about whether it's possible to reach 30 with IB gear or not and this is what I've come across with two sources so far: [b]•The new Iron Banner gear will allow you to reach level 30, with the help of 1 Exotic and 1 Raid piece.[/b] So you still need an exotic and 1 raid piece along with the IB armor filling the other slots to manage 30.

2 отв.You can reach 30. If you check the armor for the boots and gauntlets it shows 21/30 light. Meaning 30 is obtainable.

The boots and gloves are on par with raid gear...light wise. The perks however are not

I am rank 3 in iron banner ( highest rank achievable ). 1. He does not sell any more for getting to this rank. 2. No the armour is generic legendary armour, nothing really special. 3. I haven't left iron banner and yet to get a piece. That is all.

It's good for dismantling, but you need to win about 250-350 games to even hit level 3 and purchase armour. that's not counting bounties, but some of the bounties are asking of crazy things or want far more than many players can give. Hitting level 3 is increasingly difficult so dismantling the armour wont come at an easy price.

easy way to check, ib gear takes [b]6[/b] shards per upgrade, raid gear takes[b] 8[/b]

I have yet to even see any Iron Banner armor other than the gauntlets you buy from Saladin. Does the rest drop as a reward? If so, why am I getting only the pistol?

Yep, pretty much confirmed because the iron banner armor only requires 6 shards per level instead of 7 for raid gear, and the max defense stat is lower. Congrats Bungie, another load of bullshit.

4 отв.i havent recieved any raid gear myslef, but seeing as to reach level thirty you need either four raid peices or three raid peices and one exotic peice it would seem that they have the same light capacity. back to what i was saying about raid or exotic gear, it starts with a base light level of 21 where as the iron banner gear has a base light level of 18 which is the same as regular legenary gear. given those facts i think its safe to assume that the iron banner gear will not carry enough light to achieve level thirty.
