The fix besides unlinking was to enable cross save.
The way Destiny 2 does account look ups for those chat commands while you have cross-save disabled is by checking your platforms in the order of the platforms you have linked (does not mean the way they're displayed on your platform) to see if you're online/joinable, it goes Xbox -> PSN -> Steam -> Epic - and if it can't find you with the earlier linked platform in that order it throws errors. With cross-save enabled it bypasses that and always uses the active platform.
If it wasn't working while cross-save was enabled, then that would've been something Bungie would've needed to look into further.

It wasnt working while cross save was active which is why I disabled it last week. Now I have to wait 90 days before I can enable it again.

I've had to do a lot of trial and error on my part and endless google search hoping I find something that would actually fix this issue. The ultimate fix has been to unlink everything, but unfortunately, I had purchased silver and wasnt able to unlink before the dead line. Now my accounts are perma linked Edit: I do remember that when I had cross-saved enabled, the Cross save logo never showed. I dont know if that was also an issue or if the icon is no longer there for everyone.

I dont know if that was also an issue or if the icon is no longer there for everyone.[/quote] That could mean something went wrong during cross-save activation, ie a flag wasn't set correctly, as the logo is still meant to show up for everyone with cross-save enabled. By any chance, did you have a Stadia account linked at any point that wasn't unlinked before Stadia shutdown? If you did, wondering if that might've been the reason for the icon not showing up as Stadia could've be included in new setups but remained linked to the Bungie account post Jan 2023.

No, I didnt use stadia, I did use Battle.net. As a matter of fact, when I went to my Battle.net profile, it still shows Destiny 2 as Active.
