Since the time I discovered Destiny 1 many years ago, I have literally loved to log in and play Destiny, either 1 or 2. The challenges, the graphics the incredible attention to detail for a game has always been something I had looked forward to. And now that forced retirement has come, this had been an enjoyable daily routine for me. For the record, I am nowhere near the skill levels that some of the Guardians have and what a joy it was to join up with them on occasion and reap the rewards. But no longer. My playtime has dropped noticeably since the horrible idea of the portal was implemented. My perception is that much of the game play has turned its focus toward the high skill level folks and left people like me behind. The sharp break from the old format of bounties, raids and strikes as ways to increase your power and success has left the game almost split into two. While the portal with its intense game play holds the rewards now along with Kepler as a new "world", it is virtually divorced from all the old worlds that remain but seem to be there just to fill the space. Playing on the old worlds is still fun but lacks the attractiveness and draw that used to bring me there. And playing in the portal is often a frustrating experience with the timed rewards helping to take away the enjoyment that was once there and adding to the white knuckle tension that is just too much. Not sure what you guys were thinking with what has happened but thanks for the memories as I have had to start looking elsewhere a LOT more often for enjoyment without stroke potential.
