Unsure if I should avoid playing to not receive a permanent ban

I've received a 2 week matchmaking restriction on the last reset(06MAY2025). I've conducted test showing I'm getting decent results back when playing on my PS5. I've called my ISP and spoke with them to change somethings around to see if I could get better connection for PvP once I got the temp ban. I've loaded into private matches with friends to test out my connection to see if I was lagging. None of them told me I was lagging before or after what my ISP did so I just stumped on what to do once the ban is lifted. I understand the purpose of the restriction but 2 weeks just seems a little rather excessive when trying to troubleshoot this. I've already attempted an appeal and was met with the automated message telling me ban would still remain. On top of that all I did was raid with friends yesterday and now after loading up today I'm being prompted with another message telling me my connection is still unstable. Implying I may be meet with another restriction even though all I did was raid, where I never lagged out or received error codes. I just want confirmation that this new message is just a reminder for my current ban and that I won't be receiving another ban shortly after being unbanned. Feels like not being able to play heavy metal and trials next week is already punishment enough hopefully. I can also provide game play and images if need be if people have questions.

 • Hello there, Appeals are reviewed by staff. The messages are most likely preformed and sent out after review. Keep in mind, appeals are not for assistance in troubleshooting, advising cause, or length of the restriction. Appeals just trigger a 2nd look review to verify if the restriction was properly placed. As viiTactiiCZz mentioned, there are no permanent restrictions or bans for connection based issues. If after the pop up warning, and subsequent 2 week restriction, if connection issues are further detected it would result in a repeating 2 month restriction. The reasons that can cause a restriction can be found here: Why was I Restricted? Restrictions for Connections: The 1st restriction is for 2 weeks Each additional will be 2 months Here are some suggestions that may help with connection issues:

1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi 2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming 3. Clear your console cache or, if on PC, verify the integrity of your game files. 4. Power cycle your internet router 5. Improve your latency and packet loss 6. If issues persist, try the Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP or changing your NAT type. 7. Enable IPV6 on your router to see if that helps
