The new nightfall/vanguard weapons look extremely lackluster

Lotus Eater - **removed since Bungie corrected the perks on Twitter. It seems even their twids can get bugs now, same thing happened before Revenant! Palindrome - I was super excited to see this return since I missed out on it during my extended break, but after reading those perks I couldn't be more disappointed, what a letdown. No voltshot or jolting feedback or even eddy current = useless! Again! Explosive payload and magnificent howl/master at arm's looks interesting for crucible, but that's it really. It could have been so epic with EP and voltshot/jf, it could've been the next midnight coup! The new inquisitor will be getting jolting feedback in act 2, on a shotgun of all things! Why not Palindrome, one of the most iconic weapons of all time!? Why even change palindrome from void to arc if it's not going to have ANY arc-specific perks at all!? There's no excuse for this omission. Cynosure - strand aggressive rocket launcher - No BnS!? Again, what's even the point!? Ooh but it gets explosive light, which would be great if this was 3 years ago, hard pass. Definitely not worth grinding for. Also IB has Warlord's Spear - arc trace rifle - no voltshot/jolting feedback = HUGE, gargantuan miss! Rewind rounds and jolting feedback could have been just GODLY and well worth the grind, too bad. 3 new pinnacle/core weapons without synergy perks and a useless RL...What is this, Shadowkeep!? Bungie, why are you so afraid of making these and other weapons great!? They could have been so epic and must-have! That world drop solar SMG from season of the wish not having incandescent was a prime example of weird/disappointing perk choices. Also, a few of the more recent world drops like the kinetic bow (no kinetic tremors/explosive head/archers gambit, crap perks, wtf!?), that kinetic sidearm that automatically gets sharded by everyone every time it drops, that arc scout with no voltshot and crappy shadowkeep-level perks all around - also an immediate shard, and others I can't remember right now. All these weapons feel like they came out long before witch queen. Yeah they're world drops, but there have been plenty of excellent world drops released over the last couple years (live fire, sterling, maahes, gramare, Arago, heliocentric, etc), mainly because of synergy perks. In case you weren't aware, this is The Final Shape, not beyond light! In the current sandbox every non-heavy weapon needs synergy perks to be worthwhile/competitive or even FUN (remember that word?) in PvE. Synergy is one the best things to happen to the game in its entire history, if not THE greatest, and it's one of the things that made you so awesome during witch queen/lightfall/TFS despite all the bugs/nerfs and lightfall's divisive campaign. Primary or special ammo weapons (except maybe snipers or in some cases gl's - though gl's are much better with them) absolutely need incandescent/volt shot/chill clip/destabilizing/etc, PERIOD. I just assumed you understood that better than anyone? Otherwise what's the point!? These new weapons should've just come out pre-witch queen! Well I guess palindrome technically did, but updating it without any synergy just feels pointless. Why even update palindrome at all!? Just make a new hand cannon with a new design (or yet another reskin), in any element, and call it something else!? It's not even void FFS! When wild style came out it was also extremely lackluster, to put it mildly. It had no reconstruction, ALH, envious assassin or any decent damage perks. Combined with the super slow reload speed of double-fire GL's meant that it did nothing well and couldn't compete with other options, so the vast majority of players passed on it. Some time later you updated with all of the perks I just listed and it's now one of the best GL's in the game and one of my personal favourites. I use it all the time - imo disorienting GL's are massively underrated for harder content and a lot of fun to use. I sincerely hope you realize your mistake with Lotus Eater's perks and give it the same treatment that you gave wild style, because it also has no real use and does nothing better than other options like Aberrant Action or indebted kindness. I see no reason to use it over those options, much less grind GM's for it. I was beyond disappointed when I read the perks for these guns. I really hope the new redacted perks listed are new synergy perks of some kind, otherwise there's no reason to have them. Damage perks are so 2021 and just boring outside of crucible, especially on primary weapons. HUGE fail, Bungie. Please fix these before heresy releases. Please tell us there was a typo! It happened with the weapons listed in the pre-revenant twid, I'm holding on to hope that's happened again. When heresy releases and light.gg shows decent perks on these guns, I'll fully eat these words! Edit: this post was made before Bungie corrected the twid on Twitter. Lotus Eater now has void perks which is great and I'm very happy with its perk selection now. Pali and Warlord's Spear just need to be changed next. I personally could live with pali in its current state even though it's disappointing. But Warlord's Spear isn't at all worth grinding for in its current state and I'll probably be skipping IB, especially since I'll have my hands full with grinding the trials and comp weapons.
