please for the love of god add strike specific armor and weapons back into the game. there’s no real reason to replay regular strikes if you don’t get anything worth it out of the strike.

It's part of the reason they got rid of factions because they couldn't make a profit off of them, and to keep factions around they would have actually had to spend money and do their job. Couldn't have that now, could we? A lot of the gear in this game is poorly designed for certain activities especially IB so some players will buy ornaments. Transmog, enough said, etc... Destiny used to be about creating the game for the player base as well as themselves, but that was before D2 was released. Collecting gear back then was worth grinding for. Now, most of the gear in this game is being designed for Bungie's selfish reasons. Bungie is at the point of not giving a crap about the game unless they can cash grab. What you are asking doesn't make them any money and being that this was a thing in D1 and it's 4+ years later in D2. It's not even worth asking for anything like this anymore.

Yes! It was such a huge success back in d1. I don’t understand how this wasn’t a key feature implemented in vanilla d2.
-
They could & should have made 2-3 curated version of Y1-3 Nightfall weapons (and some of the Y1 fixed roll weaponry) & put them into Strikes Same with the older Gambit & Ritual weaponry
-
Agreed, we already have some for strikes still in the game, however they are either sunset or removed from the loot pool entirely. Bungie really should add these back, with random rolls, its more free loot for us and keeps us playing strikes for longer, doesn't take much work to implement either.
-
Agreed. There is no reason this hasn't been updated.
-
If they made strike specific loot who would make all those amazing and not worthless legendary ghosts, ships and sparrows?
-
Regular strikes do have the strike exclusive weapons. Same for Nightfall weapons. Sadly the armor is just a color change version of armor you can get from Gambit or Crucible from the Beyond Light expansion. I do have an issue with NF weapon drop rates though. Exotics and NF weapons claim to have the same drop rarity, but I get FAR more exotic than I do NF weapons. Some weeks I don’t get NfF weapons at all. I still have not got the AR to drop for me once. It boring playing the same strike over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, just to not get even a bad roll of a weapon. It would be nice if there was some RNG protection that would increase your chance of getting a NF weapon to drop until you get one. So if you play enough you’ll eventually get a drop.

Go play D1. D2 is lost

And make it look like the loot came from the strike. I know they had strike specific loot in D2 but nothing about most of that loot looked cool. Compared to D1 where all the strike loot were bangers.
-
That Malok hunter helm and cloak of Taniks are still some of the best armor pieces in Destiny history in my opinion.

Изменено (OurWildebeest): 9/29/2021 11:48:15 AMStrikes were more important in D1, because there wasn't as much other content. There were no dungeons or Gambit, no major public events (public events were like "kill Fallen at lander sites about four or five times"), and at first, there were no raids, then there was one raid, then there were two raids but one was outdated and dropped lower light gear, then there were three raids but TWO were outdated. Basically we needed strikes more in D1 and they felt like a more meaningful part of the game than they do now. At this point, I just do strikes for bounties, and for nostalgia/something relatively easy that will take a predictable amount of time. I don't think it is or should be a big priority for Bungie right now. JMO.

If it wasnt for NF rewards or just materials grind, I wouldn't even be ne to r strikes/nf lol. The loot and structure of that mode needs major love and attention. Each strike depending on the boss should have 1 piece of gear or weapons that compliments the boss, just like in D1 where we fight that hive night in the dark that drops the titan helmet, man that was so cool and I liked the style. Wiah it was like that here. But knowing bungie if that ever will happen we are gonna see 2 steps forward and 10 backwards with sprinkle on top which probably makes it just as bad if they have done nothing lol

I miss my Treads Upon Stars ;_;
