All the complaints that making a freelance que will shrink the player pool are baseless. The pool is big enough. This weekend has been the worst so far. Almost all matches I’ve had this weekend(win or lose) have been blow outs.
Just make a freelance que and let the sweaty teams sweat on each other.
let the sweaty teams sweat on each other.
All I'm getting from these posts is that casual players just want easy flawless. You basically want the playlist to go back to how it was last season, with the exception of a freelance playlist- that for some reason you're under the assumption that you'll have an easier time in.
-
Most sweats and tryhards will hate having freelance added because they know they get massive kd boosts from farming solo players. Freelance means no solo players so they’d be against other teams only (also very unlikely solo teams coming from lfg for bounties). I give it a weekend before all the “REMOVE FREELANCE” posts and all the salty tears. Most people in this game who consider themselves good have problems with two things: 1) They have too much pride to see their kd drop, and 2) Won’t want to play matches against people of their own skill all the time. Freelance being permanent is a long shot, but it’s the only way I personally would play Trials consistently.
-
Is getting a lfg team that hard I literally didn’t have my friends on during the time I wanted to do trials so I just used lfg and still went flawless with two randoms.

Изменено (Haunter): 9/30/2021 4:06:14 PM1. Splits the playerbase 2. Stop asking for Trials to become even easier for you. At a certain point it's sad.
-
It's not bad but if they make a solo que, they need to remove the flawless que. They shouldn't separate the player pool in more than 2 groups.
-
Meh, once you have grinded all the available loot as a low skill player there's no point engaging with the mode any more. Lets be honest the really good pvp players and content creators wouldn't even notice if we all left tomorrow, they are still gonna go flawless. They are that good. But the sheer raging terror from the bang average players when they realise they'd go back to being the cannon fodder instead of us, like in old trials is extremely amusing.

I agree - and I am going to stop playing Trials solo as well because it isn’t fun. What is the problem with a solo que? Team players are complaining that solo players want “easy” mode - but isnt that what teams have against solo players now? I just want to play a group of randoms that haven’t played together before - so I have a more even chance. Solo matchmaking is new. Stop pretending that making a solo que would ruin the game mode - because Trials has been around for a long time without it. It was teams against teams before - and that was fair. Weak pvp teams/players are going flawless now and loving it - and I’m happy for you, but you can’t expect solo players to keep playing this mode so you can get your easy wins. Solo players are going to keep dropping out - faster and faster as it takes them longer to get engrams at higher rank, and the rewards get scarce. It’s just not worth the time at this point. One thing that could help are not breaking up solo teams after every match - I just don’t understand why they do this? To make it harder for us to find a good team? Make it like strikes, gambit or crucible and keep teams together unless people choose to quit. This really sucks - I might give solo another go if they kept teams together.

We need freelance pvp in general, my guy
-
Duos and solos one pool. 3 vs 3 other pool. No flawless pool.
-
I doubt itll be that large. While I agree freelance should be there, but the layers wont stay that long. Theres alot of ppl I know that just did to get 1 or 2 things and that's it. They never wanna go back in. This change was good but should of been done along time ago. Now ppl will just use it for w.e they want and then stay as far as possible from it. I also think freelance will divide the layers dramatically since most are solo. The only 1s that will really complain are the sweats lol
-
I think people are forgetting that you couldn’t solo que until this season. Why does it matter if there is a freelance mode?
-
Bungie said that 45% of matches in Week 2 and 54% of matches in Week 1 were matches of solos/duos vs teams. If you include solos/duos vs solos/duos matches, that means the vast majority of matches include a solo or duo. Well over half of all matches. And you want to take that out? Bungie rightfully said they're worried about the overall impacts that may have, which is why it is coming in labs and may not be permanent. I can't take any of these freelance demands seriously until they at least acknowledge the obvious downsides.
-
Freelance is coming. But I don’t think it’s going to solve the issues a lot of users are having (not saying you specifically). A lot of people seem to think that if they’ve solo matchmaking they will do better. Well iron banner has shown us that’s not the case.
-
This is why yall aren't developing.
-
Nope, freelance is a bad idea. I have played through 3 and a half trials rank resets so far, all solo and i want to face solos more than anyone else aswell. BUT doing a seperate playlist is a horrble idea cause trials will not be popular enough for long enough. It will die down QUICK. We need a matchmaking prioritization which forces solos vs solos and only expands the search algorythm to teams after ~4 minutes of not finding solos facing solos. Thats how it should be handled. I agree with the problem, your solution is just wrong.

It’s coming.

Trials-schmials. Make a freelance quickplay control!

This weekend has been the worst so far. Almost all matches I’ve had this weekend(win or lose) have been blow outs. -
You add freelance and you immediately half and then effectively quarter the player base come sunday/monday. This is a downright horrible idea.
-
Is it REALLY? Even with crossplay i experience short stacks in all crucible modes or loading mid match. I doubt very much the player base is as large and engaged as reported. It is what it is. With 20 million new guardians should any mode really have matching problems. 20 million.
-
The population will continue to keep dipping. What happens when the Solo players turn on there Mics and communicate during a match? Does that make them a 3 stack in the solo queue?
-
I agree this weekend was a nightmare in terms of solo players being matched agasint stacks. I think I was probably about 80% matches with a stack, Sat Sun and on Mon, and the outcome of that was never going to be fun. They won't make a solo queue though. Can you imagine how hard the sweats and stacks would cry when they don't get thier solo farms and have to face each other? Bungie would cave before it even started.
-
Endgame pve, Raids require a fireteam to complete. Why should Endgame PvP not require a fire team?
-
Stop acting like you know what your talking about.
-
Freelance goes against the core of trials, since after all it a highly competitive TEAM focused mode. I'm normally a solo player and I definitely think it was a smart idea to add match making to trials, but freelance is too far. I mean you clearly have a bungie account and likely have companion app, so why not use fireteam finder. You can also plug in your mic and talk to your random teammates.
-
Freelance means no one is able to communicate with anyone during the match, which is a massive part of winning matches in the game mode.
