Really loved how Bungie gave us a glimpse into some Clovis-Era Exos by reclaiming their bodies. There is an ongoing theme of them regretting their decision to become Exo, and the potential issues that arise when being given a body. Or getting even darker with some of them slowly forgetting about their loved ones with each reboot. Some good stuff for sure

DSC and the stuff surrounding exo's is probably the best example of the devs taking lore of their universe and translating it into the game not only in a good amount but also very well from a story perspective. I've always felt that FPS as the main genre for this game was a mistake due to how hard it is to translate the types of things they're writing in the universe into actual gameplay. But I think Beyond light is mostly successful at this attempt. Showing me that the medium of an fps might not be as bad as I thought.
