This is my personal opinion, but i believe the story and character would feel alot more like... real character if we could have scenes such as the ones in for example immonent pt 1 as cutscenes we get to see ingame, rather than read on the app or site. Sadly the most interesting character development, and scenes that really show who the characters are, end up happening off screen or in lore books... This has been my little rant about the way bungie tells the destiny story if you think differently I'd love to hear other people's opinion on the matter. P.S I am aware that bungie currently has their hands full and that making cutscenes take effort to make.
