I have a bygones from 2 years ago.
I have a god rolled bite of the fox.
I have Luna.
I have not forgotten.
I have a god rolled premonition.
I have revoker.
I have loaded question.
And I loved them all. But I'm growing. My character is growing. And I'm ready to use new stuff.
I never expected my armor to stay the same. Just like I never my weapons to forever stay the same in the endgame.
It's cool for me. Course, this is very normal in most looters and most rpg style games. Your gear changes. Your weapons change.

Wow
Diablo
Minecraft dungeons
Torchlight
Borderlands
The difference? You don't get an excessive amount of slots to hold it all.
This is just me though.

-
Also I've been considering on getting torchlight three, but should I play two a little bit more? I didn't get all the way through 2
-
Yeah but it's capped. The new apocalypse levels do not allow it to raise it anymore. You have to run the dungeons now

The rolls on weapons is the biggest difference. The layers and layers of RNG you have to go through just to have the weapon go away is the difference. It's like a 0.01% to get a god roll on certain weapons, not to mention more RNG to even have the thing drop.
-
Oh that doesn't bother me. There are other combos I can get on other weapons.
-
Maybe not you, but my comment was for people who don’t want to go through all that grinding again for the most optimal load out. I kind of understand where they’re coming from.
-
We had multiple sunsets already. If one really expect to keep everything forever they forgot how Destiny works.

I would argue that perhaps the way we evaluate loot should change slightly in response to sunsetting. I fully understand joys of maximizing the potential benefits from all of my gear, but an environment where gear has a limited lifetime isn’t conducive to that mindset as much any more. Maybe I loosen my definition of a “god roll” just a bit or be satisfied with 9 recovery on Crucible armor instead of pushing until I get 10s in multiple stat categories. That’s essentially the mental adjustment I made when I really considered how Sunsetting will affect my gameplay. I’m cool with it now, still feeling good about the game and excited for Beyond Light. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with this. So many people say, "BuT deSTInY iSn't WoRLd oF WaRCraFt." Its the same concept because loot can be managed similarly across all of these different rpg's and mmo's, the difference in the games is gameplay and story. Sunsetting can work beautifully in Destiny IF DONE CORRECTLY.
