bad idea with Sony.. they will ban the psn for chargebacks

If it's a dispute it is different than a chargeback and again this is with just the bank I work at in particular. What we do is investigate the incident. If the client is not at fault we will give them their money back while trying to get the money from the merchant. We basically give the client the bank's money to keep them out of the mess while we fight with them on the back end for the money to make it even. IDK the success rate on that but that's how it is done typically with where I work.

not to Sony. If the fund are withdrawn from (sony) them via either dispute or fraud they will ban the psn until the funds are returned. So, even at your institution, if your investigation rules in favor of your customer and you charge back Sony, they will take action against the PSN. The only way around this would be for your bank/institution to eat the charge without impacting Sony. Sony is "too busy" to reply to bank's requests for disputes so it ends with the banks ruling in favor of the cardholder by default. Feel free to search on it, Sony and Steam are vicious with banning for it, MS seems a little better but still a risk
