why are bungie getting rid of so many maps/raids just to add one
-
Well, it’s still a mystery what type of new legendary weapons are being added.
Don’t preorder
-
They need to figure out how to balamce old raids with new powers
-
They’ll bring it back and make you pay for it again.
-
I think you have confused sunsetting with vaulting.

1. Because its content that isn't being played by the overwhelming majority of people. 2. Even though its getting such poor engagement, it still costs money and man-hours to maintain, and to make sure it works properly 3. In a game with Sunsetting, none of those activities will drop any loot that is relevant any more. 4. The point of a new game like this is to get you to play the NEW content and chase the NEW loot. Not to have you constantly circling back and playing 2-and-3 year old stuff. 5. Vaulting them will help the game run MUCH better on console. The experience of playing this game right on on console is a poor with load times getting absolutely ridiculous unless you own an SSD.

Let's make space . . . Take down the old raids. Replace them with older raids from D1?. . . 🤔??? SMH! Bungie Logic! So nowadays, when Bungo makes a Video Game, it comes out as a Magic Card game! Bungie Logic!

Изменено (~ItsFelix~): 10/26/2020 4:27:44 AMLets be honest, when was the last time you visited IO, Titan, Mercury, Mars, ect, that wasn’t in a strike or quest? When was the last time you played through any of the leviathan? It’s wasted space, I’d rather them take it out and bring it new things, then keep it in and have the game get to CoD levels of storage space. Yes, some things don’t make a lot of sense (I.e. scourge) but it’s bungie, no one knows what they’re thinking, ever
-
so when they recycle content it looks like they're adding more.
-
It's Bungo's way
-
So they can resell that same content back to us later. Sunset my gear, sunset my business.
-
Because they're incompetent.

Изменено (The Hermit IX): 10/26/2020 3:29:43 AMBecause they don’t want everyone using a Breakneck like the directors friends use, for every activity. They’re eliminating the power creep a kindled orchid creates while promoting experimenting with new choices that are old weapons with the same rolls but a shiny new icon. So yeah less choice of the same weapons is giving you a new experience while protecting the new raid from being broken by a bygones. But the truth is it makes that season pass load out your best option until it’s nerfed. 👍 But I’m ok with vaulting locations seeing they just can’t manage things the way they are. So that and pinnacles are needed but everything else is a farce.

“Bungie please release 5 raids in 1 expansion”
-
they did it to make the game run faster and make room for new expansions
-
Изменено (Kurama): 10/25/2020 8:39:23 PMA lot of content doesn’t get played enough to warrant staying in and using up space and holding up load times was the reason that was given. Especially because ps4 and Xbox one struggle with loading. So this should improve that.
-
If the game is too big and they only remove a little bit, then add a little bit, the game is still too big...
-
Size. The game is approaching 110GB so removing unused content is bringing it down to 72GB, this is so that they can keep adding to the game without it taking up absurd space on people's drives.
-
I hope all the free space will at least make the menu loading times faster on PS4.
-
There are 3 more yearly expansions...
-
The way I interperet the DCV is that this games code was not built to hold more than two years worth of content, as during it's development activisions contract demanded another Destiny game in the next two years. Bungie would obviously scrap and move on from this contract to continue supporting D2, but since the foundation of the code/engine didn't have this in mind, D2 can't handle the weight of what it has in it, so Bungie's solution to the plan is the DCV. We'll see how it pays off for the games health, but the bugs of D2's SotW is something I see as the game crumbling under itself.
-
The PR answer? Because the game is going in size and they are trying to reduce its size as they are running outta room (anyone who works in IT laughs at this notion) and to increase load times The actual reason: Destiny 2 is also on the console and due to the size limitation on a console set up they cant get away with a massive game size so instead of saying lol sucks to suck console players they are catering toward them and cutting content and pretending its to improve performance
-
old stuff needs to go away
-
They sunset horrors least
-
Because the upper heads know that the music, art, and gunplay will keep players coming in no matter what shit they pull off. So all they have to do is do as less as possible while keeping their team happy because business is boomin. Nice business model
-
To be negative I would say to resell it in later expansions to be positive I would say to fix them or to make the game run better.
