Disclaimer: Destiny is my first ever multiplayer and I am 61.
After 10,700 hours of D1 and D2 on different characters across 2 platforms, I have just changed my sensitivity from 1 to 2 ....... “pause for laughter” and I have not got a clue how you guys manage on high sensitivity settings.
Seriously, if you have any tips other than “git gud” I would appreciate it.
My setup is state of the art, PS4, Controller, 10 year old lcd tv 1080p

Изменено (Azoths_Gambit): 10/27/2020 11:53:04 AMwell I just don't let other peoples posts get to me. I'm not sensitive.. but a lot of people are so sensitive now days. "Fascism is the death of comedy" - Dave Chappelle Any who, I run Joystick extenders on a basic ps4 controller, I have my sensitive at 7. I wish I could adjust ads and hip independent of each other and lateral independent of the other. I keep my vibration off it messes up my aim if it vibrates hard enough..
-
I find 7 with traction the sweet spot. Just up your sensitivty and force yourself to stick with it.
-
I still run controller even after going to PC. Max sensitivity
-
I turn around in a circle, if I get dizzy, then the sensitivity is too high.
-
Biggest problem with sense is that it’s all universal. I want to have the option to separate ads and axis sense.
-
with that modern of a setup I'm surprised you need any help😉. I play on setting 7, the key is to keep upping your sensitivity by one once you get used to your current setting. that way you can adapt to the increase. there will be a sweetspot that you feel comfortable, that's where you stop. hope this helps and good luck!
-
How do I manage it? I play on PC.
-
Just becomes muscle memory. Increase it when you get comfortable with the setting you're on. That's what I did with Call of Duty 4 when I was a teenager and it transfers pretty well across games.
-
5 sensitivity here. 10,700 hours? Do you sleep? Hand/eye coordination is key to a game like this, and mine is slowly going south. Congrats to you though Guardian!
-
I started at a 5 in D1, eventually got to 6 and 7, now Im at a 10 with traction if I run controller.

Изменено (K3IK0(=^·^=)): 10/26/2020 4:26:37 PMI play on 9 on Xbox. I started at 4 when i first started halo 3. Slowly worked my way up to 7. The easiest way pick your favorite loadout hit a nice destination like tangled shore and start shooting) Or you go into a freelance comp match and force yourself into adapting to the muscle memory. Best of luck

I use an age old tactic of lowering sensitivity to some of the lowest levels when using precision weapons or playing map control with angles. This is Something ive been doing since the old days of Halo in 360. I used to play on the lowest sensitivity possible to decrease whiffing my shots in BR fights and it still works. In destiny, I only apply 5 or less sensitivity if I'm laning super hard and playing map control with precision weapons but that was year 1 D2. At the moment, movement is everything and I've been blink shottying since D1. Currently, here is how I'm doing it, if I'm using special ammo more than primary ammo then I play on 10 Sens with Max mobility. If I'm using Kinetic Ammo more for primary weapons then I Crank it down to 5. I'm not head glitching or laning like its Comp or Trials beause I don't play those modes anymore. I practically stay on 7-10 Sens. 7 if I haven't been playing for weeks then up to 10 when I'm back to normal. Crimson/Felwinters BTW.
-
Lmao. Just work your way up slowly. Once you get comfortable on 2, move up to 3, and so on... Until you reach the point where you can’t go any higher without your aim suffering.
-
And I’m over here thinking 10 sensitivity is too slow 😂. It’s different for everyone. Gernader Jake and true vanguard, some of the best trials players in D1, played on super low sensitivity. I guess you just get used to high sensitivity after a while. If you just use it for like 2 or 3 days you’ll get used to it
-
...my god. I started D1 at 8 because it was too low. I would go higher than 10 if i could but i'm essentially just flipping between 9 and 10 depending on how "in the zone" i am.
-
I tell myself that sticks and stones may break my bones.....
-
If it works don't change it, I played on 3 for the longest time switched to Xbox and had to go down to 1 on both platforms now, I honestly saw a improvement when I made it slower, so if ur decent and happy with your game Olay stay there man, yes lots of pvp gods so to speak play at 10, but I can drop a 40 bomb by my self at 1 sensitivity using the same guns, it all matters on how u handle ur self sensitivity is more of a preference doesn't change much in game in a benefit or negative way
-
I never go higher than 3, I like 2. It helps with headshots
-
Its just muscle memory. When you are jumping up your settings like taht, you bascially need to retrain your self to use the higher sensitivity. Go do easy content to get a better feel for it. just takes time to get into the swing of it.
-
Just work your way up one notch a week or so. I worked my way up to 10 and it was so much easier than trying to jump right to it
-
I play on 10 sensitivity but if I leave the game for a few months it takes me a moment to get back to it and use it correcting, just gotta use muscle memory
-
Изменено (Ghostfire239): 10/26/2020 7:36:47 AMYou gotta build up to higher sensitivity levels. Start at a level you feel comfortable at and once you feel like you’re good on that level go up one. It’ll feel terrible for a bit but you’ll get used to. I started around 6 or 7 and worked my way up. I’m sitting at 10 sensitivity now (kinda want more tbh) Hope that helped
-
I play on 6 with traction. It's just something you need to get used to. But I wouldn't recommend playing on 10 because of diminishing returns to where its just not worth it. It also depends on your play style. I like to shotgun so I use 6. My pulse shot is still fine. Sniping is on a 5. In d1 I played on a 4 harder to snipe in d1 with less AA and not as smooth.
-
It literally is just get good. Your body needs time to adjust to the new sensitivity. Your muscle memory needs a rework, and that takes a bit of time. Stick to it, boss.
-
Quite a few people in here can’t stop being sensitive
😂
Изменено (SgtMac31253): 10/25/2020 5:30:38 PMI'm 45. I played a whole lot of call of duty over the years and most of it with mid to long range weapons. After switching over to d1 when it came out I had a big adjustment to make. I have some nerve damage in my hands so I have to adjust in my own way. Start with say a 4-5. What I did was to find where most of your engagements take place. If your doing a lot of over correcting then lower your sensitivity 1. I also turn as I jump a lot and use situational awareness to line up enemies with minimal aim correction. Always land to face the next enemy. And if your curious, I use either 2 or 3 and I've learned to play that way.
