Nobody cares about gambit to begin with, the triple infamy weeks do nothing to make people want to play such and unenjoyable game mode. Double exp gains for a week would be so much more useful and fun to the general player base.

Infamy is a source of powerful drops as well as new armor in beyond light. Double exp is really only useful if you haven't completed the season pass or want to farm eververse engrams. Both offer little value if your max light and finish the pass. I'd rather have double infamy over exp as this means new weapon rolls. Also bungie may add things like ascendant shards to valor/infamy resets in beyond light.

People do play and enjoy gambit. However i do agree double xp weeks should be included.

It's to pull people into those specific activities. If you trusted the community to play them with double/triple XP, they'd just run a bunch of strikes or public events.

The exp could be useful to players who are playing catchup on the season pass, or want more chances to get Bright Engrams to receive Eververse items. But to players who have already gotten to lvl 100, and already obtained the Bright Engram items in past seasons, it doesn't seem like it would be much benefit.

I got my Dredgen recently due to Triple Infamy. So yeah. Wrong.

I disagree frankly. The majority of players hit season rank 100 months ago. There are plenty of those players that are still trying to get titles involving gambit/crucible/and strikes.
