The reason it does this now is because people were complaining about the black screens before matches. They changed the load type to a batch load so it loads all of the people into an instance all at once. The reason the black screens and now the load times, especially for the tower, are so long is because not only is it trying to load like 20 people all at once into the session but also because among those 20 people there is probably one or two with either a bad connection or hardware that isn’t totally up to speed and not as powerful. Next time you are experiencing an ultra long load time in a place like the tower, pay attention to the area around and behind you as you spawn in. Most likely there will be 10+ other people spawning in at the exact same time as you do.
