Power grind feeling pointless? Do you see yourself remaining engaged after Dec. 10th?
Logging in to do bounties to gain power that the game's going to erase in a few week's time? Chasing Pinnacle drops for what now? Bungie's pulled off creating this new business model where we all pay good money for very, very little. We pay in hope and then suffer in our disappointment. But hey! Anthem's making a comeback, right!?!?! (according to Kackis, etc..) That's EXCITING!!
Jokes aside, I am going to be very angry at myself if I haven't found a new game to play by December 10th. I'll be back down to 950 while others who have done the newest raid 200-500 times will be closer to 960. I know people who have [u]hundreds[/u] of the new raid clears and I'm at the same power level as them never having done the raid or any NF (just bounties).
But hundreds of raid clears? Really? Is that what grinding for Power is, now? Are we going to get a new raid every month? New strikes for NFs bi-monthly? My point is that you cannot support with content this sort of grind for "Power."
Unfortunately, playing for Power is the only point to playing. A vicious circle. Bungie, I think, needs to solve what I believe is a major issue going forward. They want to keep supporting Destiny 2 for another year or more. Just can't see this happening without being forced to totally reinvent the wheel (again). The developer has extended itself out too far with other projects forcing a regurgitation of content. Can't take it, anymore. Can't throw more money at it. )=

The power grind is pointless. If you look at D2 as just a continuation of D1, then our power has gone from under 50 to 960 and it still takes two head shots with a scout rifle to kill a Vandal. There is no point for the power level increase except to keep us grinding.

1 ответI feel is pointless being 750+ and you still need a fireteam for playing EP (just an example) that is an activity on its days meant for 380+plvl and 400 lvls after still right were you started months ago. Not to 1 shot everything(thats not my intend) but rather be able to complete the activity with ease. Your power level should matter not only when it does against you but in your favor as well.

I been a huge fan of destiny ever since it was announced and played every day back when it came out but now with D2? I have to force myself to log in and play. It honestly feels bungie has lost their way . From the constant push for eververse to the lacking and boring exotics to content that we're still missing (trials and factions). Just seems like bungie doesn't care, like when D2 dropped think about how much content was missing, no heroic strikes at launch, no random rolls on weapons, a poor endgame and much more and, let's not forget about the XP throttling. I wanna love destiny 2 but, it just feels so bland and unrewarding. It all depends on what the next season is gonna be.

3 отв.I’ll keep playing and doing little stuff here and there in destiny. I play battlefield and rainbow and both those games should have some new content soon or in December at least. But for some reason I can’t just quit playing destiny. Honestly, if ready player one was our world now, I would probably be a destiny character if possible.

3 отв.Leveling is not the primary grind in a loot based game! When will people get this through there skulls??? The real grind in a loot based game is collecting all the loot with the specific rolls that you want on them.

3 отв.I mean getting to 950 is not bad. It also only takes 15mins to get an alt to 900 if you have a 950 character. not sure why they charge 20$ to boost to 900. but past 950. alot of people struggling with the fact that pinnacle content is all private and no match making. Players are complain about being forced to use nightmare mods. once you reach Y threshhold you dont even need the mods for 980 nightmare hunts. as you just instant kill them. This however pigeon holes new players even more sadly, as not every one has an anarchy for 980 overloaded minotaur. All I can suggest for new players. Go get Love and Death it has Aggressive Frame, Spike Grenades, Field prep, Full Court.

I couldn't care less about power level, but I'll keep playing because I enjoy the game and don't need something to chase.

Bounties, and bounties, and bounties, and bounties, and bounties.... For Destiny being a “team game”, something many people condescendingly remind players that prefer solo/matchmaking play ANY time they mention it, I find it pretty hilarious that the most efficient means of leveling is now to run solo bounties, mainly in team activities and in a way in which there is no emphasis or incentive in actually completing the activity in a reasonable amount of time, or at all, really. May as well just not have activities with clear starts and finishes and instead just throw players into an endlessly repeatable drop-in/drop-out wave of enemies activity so they can: Get this many kills with this. Get that many kills with that. Use this ability for this many kills. Use that ability for that many kills. Get this many elemental kills. Get that many elemental kills. And repeat with nearly every weapon/ability/elemental type. It’s just constant dictation of loadouts that disincentivize completing activities efficiently. Some of which also have time trial and other efficiency triumphs no less. Makes no sense. And I don’t even care about doing pinnacles, honestly. The ONLY plus to the new leveling system is that solo players can actually grind like crazy and still level. The problem is that the best method for doing so requires constantly having your loadout dictated and is detrimental to the notion that this is a team game, even from the casual perspective of just playing matchmaking activities. Competing against fellow guardians in PvE for kills is a bad thing. I wish Bungie would just make up their minds and go hard in one direction or the other instead of continuing to perpetuate this contradictory identity crisis model of a game.

2 отв.I just grind for the exotics. And any cool legendary weapons, I guess. Power grind is pointless. 965, 975, 980, doesn't matter. I'll get railed in a Master nightfall ordeal either way.

7 отв.Came in at new light a few weeks ago now, already bored to death. Even though it has more to do and more things in it this just feels like a really shallow or hollow D1. Bought the season pass, but everything people here and in my gut itself is telling me not to buy the expansions and just switch instead. TL;DR - already bored but will keep playing until something good comes along. (Hoping that’s not going to mean waiting for HZD2)

I don’t really do any activities that don’t have matchmaking. I’ve enjoyed my time with Shadowkeep but I’m starting to get bored now with 3 classes at 950. I’m also not that impressed with the fact that all my previously earned exotics are out of date with regards to modding.

I'm waiting to see how I feel once the new season drops. Erasing all that grind is going to be annoying and I can't see myself getting to the same artifact level in later seasons. But as long as the content is decent I'll continue to play, albeit my hopes for that aren't great either.

I’ve got a backlog, and thankfully since the game went down a downward path for me, I got better at warframe which was the other online game needing attention. I haven’t bought the new stuff so I think I’m taking the slow path to an exit. Gotta chip away the will piece by piece. Progression between seasons is the next step

1 ответThe artifact, armour, armour affinity, leveling and infusion... took a simple process and blew it up into an overly convoluted mess. Its more bloated than a fat guy eating cheese with a lactose intolerance. They did this to try and add depth. Sad part is the old armor in most cases is still superior.

1 ответI hate grinding power, the unlimited power grind has ruined my desire to play iron banner, and I'm hoping trials doesn't have power levels but it probably will.
