They just seem so weak compared to the other Power Weapons. A damage buff, and some sort of innate perk, like being able to deal Precision damage through Elemental Shields would make them better.
Adding more perks to their possible rolls, like Armor Piercing and High Caliber Rounds, would be great too.
And can we get more Linear Fusion Rifles that can roll random perks? Why is there only one?

I'll talk with the dev team and let them know this is still something the community would like to see in a future update. So the main things you would like to see are? -Increased damage -Added innate perk - More perks added to possible rolls Let me know what other changes you would like to see to Linear Fusion Rifles.
-
And pls do something on Arbalest.... it couldn't be possible that in 950+ nightfalls starts to be useless cause of shield immunity ; afterthat I think it is one of the rarest weapons without a Catalyst.....
-
I think they are one of the highest damage dealing guns in the game, hopefully they just nerf everything else below them.
-
Linear fusion rifles are weaker sniper rifles with a charge up time. I would like to see one of three things done to them. 1) greatly increase the charge time, but also greatly increase the damage. Think rocket or grenade launcher level damage with double the change time they currently have. 2) Much faster change time, but a much bigger magazine. They could almost be turned into a heavy auto riffle that fires very quickly. 3) make them fire in bursts. Think lord of wolves. A 3 or 4 round burst linear fusion rifle would be great.

Pfffffff. Your fault for the future Linear Fusion rifles META!
-
Agreed. They got nerfed into the ground too much.
-
I’m late. But what if they had a function that separated them from normal snipers? Like a push back or slowing effect?
-
In the totem encounter of pit of heresy I tried to use a linear fusion against the Boomer knights up top. They were regular red bars. And I still couldn't one shot them with it. It's a power weapons ffs.
-
Buff PvE damage Give them all an intrinsic extra damage boost to shields
-
BUFF SLEEPER BACK TO THE BOSS MELTING BEAST IT DESERVES TO BE!
-
We need more linear fusions in general. By that I mean different models & Designs. It’s really just been one, with different skins.
-
Agreed. There isn't any really good utility for them. And considering Arbalest seems to hit just as hard as its power ammo counterparts, that's pretty sad. A better ammo capacity, more damage, and just more energy types would be greatly appreciated. One of the weakest power weapon options for the slot. Even swords have better utility for fast damage output.

Изменено (TJ_Dot): 11/11/2019 4:17:31 PMPretty sure the buff would be making them special weapons as is. Really their current damage totally passes for that. Do that, buff sleeper
-
Side note, all linear fusion already penetrate multiple targets. AP rounds wouldn't accomplish anything but more range.
-
Arbalest gang where you at?
-
The short range is a big problem for me. I mean, a "linear fusion rifle" sounds like it should have at least the same range as a sniper rifle? Anyway, almost half of my aim progression when firing these things is worrying about what range I'm at, which usually leads to an illogical closing action, which throws off my aim, which causes me to think I just can't hit anything with them. Maybe it's a personal problem actually now that I think of it

Here’s what I think Bungie should do as the armchair developer that I am. - a +30% precision damage buff. - +5 reserve ammo. - Increase effective range to be comparable to snipers. The two additional archetypes they can add could be: Rapid Fire: 350 CT with 8-10 in the magazine. 80 per body shot and 150 per headshot in pvp. Always a two-shot, but charge time is ridiculously short. High Impact: 740 CT with 4 in the mag. 150 per body shot and 435 per crit. (Can 1 shot supers with a crit.). Would be 1/2 way between precision frames and sleeper. Sleeper and Queenbreaker would be subject to these changes in PvE. Arbalest would get a +20% increase in crit damage instead as well as the reserves increase.
-
dont ever use the word "fusion rifle" with the word "buff". reason being is d1 y1, buff fusions? ok nerfed. those d1 vets know what i mean
-
YES! And maybe some of them can be in the special slot too.
-
Should change them to special minus sleeper. And buff sleeper. Miss queenbreakers as a special greatly.
-
Bungie is so lazy there is only 1 legendary linear fusion riffle in game. They are not only not buffing it. They hope you forget about it cause they have.
-
Agreed. The only time I ever use linear fusion rifles is if I’m bored, or if I’m running outbreak in SOTP and have a backup for my sniper rifle for shield breaks
-
Buff arbalest

[quote]I'd kill for a high-impact GoS linear fusion rifle with curated Boxed Breathing and Hold the Line. Hell, maybe you could even bring Final Round or LitC and have them roll on Linear Fusion Rifles.
-
I used my fusion rifle (you know which legendary one) excessively for most of my D2 life. That is until they buffed grenade launchers. Now I use grenade launchers 24/7 for PvE activities lol. But even when they nerfed linear fusions I was still using them in gambit and PvE. A sub 500 charge time with Boxed breathing and that one perk that instant charges after a swapping is a beautiful combo.
