Erentil's Range is Dumb. Wizened Rebuke and Loaded are bad but Erentil is the worst. I'm getting mapped by Erentil from distances that are longer than some Hand Cannon ranges. Why? Why Bungie, why?
Why do people still say this?
1. Fusions rifles should have longer range than HCs.
2. You’re not actually getting “mapped” these guns consistently kill at 30m or less. To kill at longer you need range perks, the ability to time your charges, and for your target to stand still out of cover.
Fusions are fine, players need to adapt. It’s that easy.

If your using Back Up plans then Rangefinder be used which reduces the chances of those “cross maps” but combats Shotgunners

Erentil still punches way out of it's weight class even without Rangefinder. I have two god rolls (one with Rangefinder/Under Pressure and another with Backup Plan/Under Pressure) and they feel more or less the same. It's a difference of a few metres if that.

Any experienced fusion user knows how to time the charges in cover and move out and look for a shot.

I’ve seen BP with QuickDraw or auto loading holster I forget which but I just think they need to take out BP from high impacts. It’s happened to many times where I get the first shot and people do a quick swap, insta voop me to void nothingness and carry on lol

If you keep challenging the same way against someone you know an so that it is on you not the gun. I say the same thing to myself when it happens to me.

It’s a general irritation lol. A high impact should never have the chance to get 2 fast charges off in a row. I would say change the perk for high impacts to 1 shot if decided to even keep the perk on it. It’s not on me either at the beginning of the game I try to get what I’m challenging but it’s such an unexpected thing to keep in mind like why would the slowest charging fusion end up charging lightening fast outta nowhere? I would still definitely argue that the perk shouldn’t belong on high impact fusions. It may not be the most popular roll (I have a rangefinder/under pressure) but it’s definitely a roll that can compete with anything in the sandbox exceedingly well.

The guns are are capable of fighting each other and the play of the players decides who comes out on top. Personally I don’t think BP is enough of a problem to warrant a nerf. I think nerfing fusions because players get annoyed by them, or don’t want to stop rushing them with short range weapons and claiming to get mapped is a bad move for the health of the game. I’ve watched plenty of streams where the person -blam!- about dying to Erentil is dying less than 20m away from the person who killed them because they are peeking a corner while I can hear the charging over their music and talking. People are unreliable narrators. Bungie can pull heat maps of games and see how out of control fusions are and have been able to for over a year on all the current rolls of Erentil. Clearly the data doesn’t show it’s a problem. Seems like a meme instead.

Erentil is basically a shot gun you can fire accurately across the map. It's range to one hit kill ratio is waaaaay off without becoming a skill weapon like a sniper.
-
standing at one place with a sniper and waiting on someone to turn the corner or already pre scoping in hopes someone walks into your aim is not skills lol
Erentil is basically a shot gun you can fire accurately across the map. It's range to one hit kill ratio is waaaaay off without becoming a skill weapon like a sniper.
Oh I agree, except that you’re using hyperbole and the statement you’re making isn’t accurate at all.
-
Except it is.
-
Except it is.
Well it’s not, sorry.
-
Except Erentil is just as "skill" intensive as a sniper, if not moreso? Since you have less mobility than a sniper, have to hit 5-6 projectiles accurately, have a limited range, and any movement you can't account for nearly as well.
-
Erentil is a 4 bolt kill with Liquid Coils and I'm pretty sure it still is even without it. Don't know where you're getting 5-6 bolts from.
-
Damage falloff. It falls off to about 35 per bolt after.... 15-20 or so meters, I want to say? That's a 5 bolt kill on most Resilience levels.
-
Изменено (Lull9): 10/20/2019 11:12:41 AMIt has been 4 or 5 depending on distance (assuming REASONABLE distance... not trying for 70m or something on PC in which case you need 7 for max max range), which perks you have and your opponent's resilience.
-
I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. The only skill you need with fusion rifles is timing your shot and knowing the ranges in which you can one hit kill. Which in erentil case, is too far.
-
So it auto aims and controls it's own recoil? Dang, I've got to get this roll.
-
And accounting for your lack of movement, enemy movement aiming lower torso (because aiming too high is very much a thing on FRs), and the half to two thirds of a second it takes to charge on top of it. Plus you're out horizontal movement outside of certain ranges.
-
You are dumb, you can play a whole game without pulling your primary out, try it with a sniper. "More skilled as a sniper" I love how erentil players defend their way to be decent at the crucible

-
Any other dumb statement? You seem great at it And, playing a game with a shotgun only at least requires more skill with your movement than using a erentil Playing a game with a sniper only will only get you a bad game where, even if you play well, you can't be really effective The best way to play a shotgun is to rely on primary too, same as snipers, totally false with erentil
