Tbh it’s just annoying. I for one don’t run into any problems with the infusion system because I wait to infuse when I’m a high level. So I don’t wanna waste my materials just to play some matches of crap iron banner. Hopefully, I’m not the only one.
Try to keep it civil down there boys
thanks

Nope. Every other crucible mode doesn't have power advantage so having one mode, especially one that grants pinnacle gear, is fine.
-
It was understandable when there was a lvl cap but now with people at 970 it’s kinda sucky
-
Only issue with the power advantage is that it impacts quests with granting bonus progression which is dumb. I found myself putting on lower powered gear to complete some of those quests faster. Which is a$$ backwards
-
not gonna happen, Iron Banana has always been that way, if you take that away then you're basically playing Control besides, smashing New Light berries is so much fun🙏
-
-
No. That is the whole point of Iron Banner.

Изменено (IMADAJ): 10/21/2019 5:01:03 AMIron Banner has been advertised as a week long special event for the crucible where level matters since the beta of Destiny 1. Power making a difference IS the point. Edit: During the beta people even argued that level didn’t make enough difference and it was changed.

I happen to love Banner and have never seen light be an issue. This last event I went in at 920 and came out 950. I found that the bounties gave more progress when going in at a lower light so I toned my loadout down to be back around 920 and did just fine. Even at higher light I was getting killed by 900-ish guardians. At the end of the day I just have fun with it and never really noticed light being an issue. I assume though if someone were to go in anywhere between 750-850 it could be noticeable, but I can't speak to that from experience.
-
As much as were gonna get hate, I agree. Well at least tone the level severity down. Seriously Im at 950 and I still feel like Im tickling 960+ people.
-
But that's part of what makes it unique. It's a way to test your power against other guardians.
-
Its part of its identity. Removing it would make it control but painful...er.
-
i agree to an extent, it should be changed so that players of a higher light level just take less damage. not take less and do more. i'm not sure whats changed but it definitely seems more punishing to be a lower level compared to d1,
-
Then it’s just regular crucible
-
It comes once a month, who cares
-
I get by even though I’m in the 910s now. If the team’s mostly 950-60, then it’s a bit tough. I would also say play cheaper if ya have to. I got 2/3 banner quests done today so it’s not too bad
-
Overall I would agree that level advantage is not a very good mechanic and I am going in 950+ with artifact bonus. First of all to those saying that it is the identity of Iron Banner you are right, but it isn't a very good one. Iron Banner does need an identity because besides power level advantage it is pretty much just regular control. I think what they need to do is find a different way to make IB unique, I think the best thing they could do is make a gamemode exclusive to IB that would only come around once a month. If they gave IB more of an identity then they could get rid of power level advantage because it really doesn't add to the experience. All power level advantage does (at least for me) is make the game feel impossible if you are low power and make it feel like cheating if you are higher power.
-
Are you new? Always been like this, always will be like this.
-
Think something is broken with the scaling. I occasionally 1 shot with the vow. I’m only 935. I don’t think they can keep IB with power enabled with power being uncapped with the artifact. They either will have to disable this, flatten the difference curve, or hard cap the difference boost/ penalty.
-
Just play regular Crucible then? Iron Banner is end game for PvP players who don’t have people to raid with. It’s honestly my only shot at pinnacle gear and I’m doing fine at 935.
-
I played it at 922 light, and did just fine. So no. It is the only PvP in the game where level matters. We do not need a gimped, anemic Iron Banner. In fact, that is the last thing we need.
-
Lol, it is crazy. A 930 used his super on me and it took 3 hits to kill me. I survived a rocket point blank from a 910. And a jotunn shot 10m away
