So a bit of context before you read. This story is based off of a mission Petra gives you in Forsaken, involving you tracking down a missing Corsair and then some artifacts. While my personal Guardian is a important character in this story, it is being told through the perspective of the Corsair. Also for the sake of added flavor and story certain elements have been added. That said I hope you enjoy it. Part 1: A Fateful Encounter     The mission was supposed to be a simple one. Corsair Belladonna and 5 other Corsairs were sent into the archives to recover some valuable Awoken Artifacts. Intel suggested some hive and taken presence of but if the team was careful they should have been able to get in and out undetected. Things were never that simple though. It was like the hive were waiting for them, Ambushing the team as they entered the archives. As the team fought them off Belladonna was ordered to escape and report to Petra that the team was attacked due to the hive jamming their communications. Belladonna wanted to stay but she wouldn't disobey a direct order so she ran. A burning sensation followed by excruciating pain would envelope her body as a Hive round tire into her side, another round hitting the side of her helmet as she ran. She clutched her wound as she ran, occasionally turning to fire her side arm into the chasing horde of Acolytes and Thralls. Soon she was far from the Archives, the pain becoming unbearable as she moved into a small cave, slumping down against the back wall. "Dammit I refuse to die in a cave" she muttered as she put pressure on the wound, her ears ringing as a shrill from a group of Thralls echoed into the caves. They had found her.       She turned her head to the entrance, a massive Knight standing right outside with a group of Thralls and Acolytes at his heels. Belladonna had seen and fought hive knights before, but this one was different. Bigger, uglier, and painted blood red. It's sword was twice the size and looked like it would cleave anything in two. Just being in his presence made her body hurt and shake, a wave of fear enveloping her like a blanket. The Knight grinned a devilish grin before raising his massive arm and pointing at her. The Thralls and Acolytes shrilled as they readied to charge into the cave stopped only when a bright light streaked in front of them, crashing down into the group with an explosion of arc energy. The Knight stood there staring at the creature that dared interfere, Belladonna attempting to focus on her rescuer as her vision started going black. All talk man stood, clad in black armor between her and the Knight. A small little bit floating over to her from behind the man. "A Ghost?" She asked weakly as her attention turned to the man. 'So that makes him a guardian' she thought to herself as the ghost preformed a scan on her. "She doesn't have much time, we need to get her out of here" it said in it's robotic voice. "Understood" the Titan replied as a flaming hammer materialized in his right hand.        The two warriors stood there apart from each other, a massive hive sword in the Knights right hand, and a burning hammer in the Titan's. What seemed like an eternity of silence was broken by the knights battle cry, charging the Titan, swinging his mighty blade at him. But this wasn't some newly resurrected guardian. The Titan dodged to the side, swinging his hammer into the Knight, knocking a chuck of his bony armor of, causing it to roar in anger as it back handed the Titan, causing him to stagger before swinging the sword into the Titan's chest, his hammer didapating as he was sent flying against a nearby Boulder. The Knight roared again as he pressed his advantage, bringing his sword down onto the Titan with a barrage of furious swings. The onslaught would however be met by the Titan's Void shield, a brilliant purple shield formed from his light. The Knight screamed in rage as he began swinging his sword much faster and with more ferocity, angered by the Titan's light and continued Resistance. All the Titan could do was hold the shield as Belladonna watched her savior be put up against the wall. With one more mighty swing the knight shattered the shield, grabbing the Titan and lifting him up before slamming him multiple times against the boulder, pieces of his armor breaking off. As the Knight brought him up to finish and drain the Titan of his light, 3 gunshots would go off, 3 rounds colliding with the knights back, causing him to pause and turn to the person who dared to shoot him. Belladonna sat in her cave, breathing heavily and side arm raised. "You have to kill me first!" She screamed at the Knight. The Knight grinned as he dropped the Titan and began to approach the cave. "Guardian get up!" His ghost yelled before dematerializing. The Titan against all probability began to get up, the hairs on the back of Belladonna's neck raising as Arc energy filled the air. The Knight turned to see the Titan launching towards him, a missile of body and Arc energy as the Titan Slammed into him. The two went crashing to the ground as the Titan sat on top of the knight and began to furiously slam his fists into the knights skull. With every punch it sounded like thunder, arc energy slamming into the Knight as his face was decimated. The Titan sat there breathing heavily as the Knight began to cackle. "You hive love causing pain so much. THEN I'LL SEND YOU TO HELL!" The Titan shouted as he brought his fists down onto the cackling knight crushing his head and finally killing him. As the Titan sat there his ghost would re materialize and begin to heal his Guardian. "We need to get her out of here and report this to Ikora. We've never seen a knight like this before." The ghost said as he finished up. The Titan stood up and walked into the cave, kneeling next to Belladonna who stared up at him. "I don't want to die here," she said weakly as tears began streaming from her eyes. "You won't die here" the Titan said as he lifted her up, pain enveloping her body once more as she was carried out of the cave, her vision soon turning to black.      When Belladonna awoke she shot up right, looking around to see where she was. She was in an infirmary, several Awoken medics treating other injured soldiers as she looked around. "Good to see you awake Belladonna, you gave us quite a scare" A familiar voice would say. She turned her head to see Petra Venj, the current Reagent-Commander and Queens Wrath standing there. "What happened. Last thing I remember was watching a guardian fight off a knight as I was bleeding out." She said as she scratched her head. "The mission was a failure, well at least your part. The Guardian who saved you went back to recover the Artifacts. Your team was decimated. You were the only survivor. Had the Guardian not found you you would be with them in death" Petra explained as she took a seat. Belladonna let it all sink in, her team dead, the Guardian who saved her finished her mission. "I was ordered to retreat, to report to you due to a communications black out" Belladonna started to say before Petra cut her off. "We are aware. We received all audio from your team but we're unable to contact you. I do not blame you for the death of your team. You were following orders. So don't blame yourself either" Petra said as she looked into Bella's eyes. Belladonna nodded as she looked at Petra. "I would like to seek the Guardian out. I never got to thank him for rescuing me" Belladonna stated adamantly. Petra looked at the corsair for a moment before nodding. "Alright. I will allow it. But come home as soon as you can." Petra ordered as she stood to leave. A day later Belladonna would go-to her ship and head for Earth, Petra watching as she took off. "She isn't coming back is she" A techun said as she approached Petra. "No I don't think she will" Petra said with a smile before the two walked off.
