Which do you think are better, overall for that Subclass tree?
Also, regarding Synthoceps, what exactly do they, and don’t they affect?
Asking because I’m trying to decide which subclass I’m going to focus on in Shadowkeep(Between Burning Maul and Banner Shield)and I’m trying to learn as much as I can about the exotics that best go with each of them.
Any other suggestions for useful Exotics for this Subclass tree?

I know Dunemarchers are very popular for pvp, but for pve it can be pretty underwhelming in certain content. Normal strikes or Gambit really let them shine, but there's just other exotics that can excel more than Dunemarchers like Insurmountable Skullfort, Peregrine Greaves, Doom Fang Pauldrons, Heart of Inmost Light, Phoenix Cradle, Helm of Saint-14, and Synthoceps in general or stuff like master difficulty content. With the buff to the range of the linear actuator perk from 12 to 20 meters has made them very solid in pvp and low-end pve content, but they really hinder you in the higher-end content. If they could tweak it to stack or work with melee buffs like Roaring Flames on Burning Maul or Knockout on bottom tree Striker they'd be a high tier exotic all around. Like for Burning Maul if you throw your hammer and get 3 or more kills with linear actuator it immediately procs Roaring Flames x3. Then the melee itself is stronger and the chain lightning is also buffed from the Roaring Flames perk. So linear actuator benefiting the subclass and vice versa (which Bungie can separately tweak for pve and pvp for balance). Another minor problem I have with them is every other melee based super on Titans proc linear actuator. Striker and Sentinel shield proc the perk, but the light/spin attack on Burning Maul doesn't which is really weird since it looks and feels like a melee attack.

Dunemarchers for pvp. Helps you chase your prey faster. Be like: Hunter: never gonna catch me! Titan: *best Scorpion impression*

Synthocepts is difficult, because it also increases your melee range which you don’t need with throwing hammer, and in fact it will actually do a normal melee when you want to throw the hammer. Dunemarchers improves your sprint speed (which is good when you need to chase down hoppity hunters in super) and when you throw the hammer it chains damage to any enemies near the target, so what you could do is throw the hammer and hit the enemies with the chain damage, and then toss a incendiary grenade to finish them off

pve - synthoceps pvp - heart of inmost light

Synthoceps. Makes your throwing hammer do a bunch of damage. It also increases your super damage by 50%. Dune marchers are fun to mess around with, but not even close.

They are both great choices for both PVP and PVE. Dune marchers will let you become Thor. When you throw your baby hammer it chains lightning to enemies. Also good for middle tree Sentinel with the Void Detonators. Plus the sprint and turn speed buff. Synthoceps : great all around. Increased melee lunge and damage. Buffs your super damage. Buff to melee damage stacks with the baby hammer. Just experiment.

Have you ever felt that sensation of control? When that coward of an enemy player runs from you mid fight, and Shaxx whispers “End his miserable life.”. So you start sprinting, and you pick up speed. You’re faster than a bullet, and then you see it. Linear Actuators So you knee the coward in his back, and the cascading lightning devastated his teammates, setting you up for even more kills. Dunemarchers is the superior choice.

I know this post is for titan, but fun fact: Winter's Guile works the same as Wormgod Caress but for warlocks, and does about the same amount of damage on 5 stacks with a one-two punch shottie

Wormgods Caress

Dunemarchers are really only if you want to increase the AoE of your melees.

Изменено (corky125_): 9/18/2019 10:07:22 PMI actually did some damage testing with the throwing hammer last night... I usually use dunemarchers because they're my favorite and also it's fun to use the "Thor" build, arc-chaining hammer, but Wormgod's Caress is definitely the best exotic for this class. Throwing Hammer tests on Tribute Hall Ogre: Base damage: 17275 Roaring Flames x1: 20730 (1.2x) RF x2: 25906 (1.5x) RF x3: 31088 (1.8x) Burning Fists x1: 31959 (1.85x) x2: 46642 (2.7x) x3: 84647 (4.9x) x4: 107104 (6.2x) x5: 129561 (7.5x) Roaring Flames x3, Burning Fists x1: 55224 (3.2x) RFx3, BFx2: 80597 (4.67x) RFx3, BFx3: 146269 (8.467x) RFx3, BFx4: 185075 (10.713x) RFx3, BFx5: 223881 (12.96x) So with the subclass perk Roaring Flames and the exotic perk Burning Fists, you can reach a throwing hammer with 13x the damage of the normal throwing hammer. I'm not sure what combinations of these work to one-shot in crucible, but I think if you have one stack of each or Roaring Flames x2, then you should be able to OHK with the throwing hammer in pvp Roaring Flames lasts for 15s Burning Fists lasts for 5s, but as you can see by these numbers, it's worth the investment. 13x damage hammer! But that's not all...
Use this exotic with a One-Two Punch shotgun, and you can get some REALLY BIG numbers Throwing Hammer with One-Two Punch: 51825 (3x damage buff) Throwing Hammer with Roaring Flames x3, Burning Fists x5, One-Two Punch: 671641 (38.88x damage buff) This one-shot killed the Ogre, btw
Dunemarchers are fun for low-level content where many ads will die to the chaining, letting you feel something like Thor when you throw your Hammer into a group of ads. But Synthos will let you do much more damage to beefier enemies, and make your Super much stronger. Though Biotic Enhancements aren't always procced, so you can't take advantage of the extra melee and Super damage at all times.

Изменено (NYC_InfamousNick): 9/18/2019 11:36:05 PMSynthoceps. Damage from the Dunemarchers perk is negligible against larger enemies, Synthoceps buffs your melee and super in 3+v1 scenarios. Heart of Inmost Light is better than both for Burning Maul though. Empower procs off of Barricade and then stacked with Roaring Flames your abilities are far more lethal. Then you can just alternate between barricade and hammer throws to keep your empower going alongside Roaring Flames X3.

This is what Synthoceps look like in the Tribute Hall

Изменено (Turbo Speedsman): 9/18/2019 10:11:55 PMBurning maul needs to last longer or do more damage. Or an exotic that extends time with kills similar to bottom tree striker. Exotic can also have Thor hammer physics on guy haha just for giggles
