Sloane is out here all wrinkled by the rain with no new supplies since she got there. You would think more Hive/sea gear would be present since we are on a OCEAN MOON. Asher Mir should’ve had some Vex/radiation gear created by now with all this time he spent researching, right? Deverim has probably created more effective weapons since he and other outpost defenders have been fending off Cabal and Fallen for a long time now, even he doesn’t drink tea all day. Failsafe herself must’ve created anti-vex/fallen weapons since she is constantly at odds with the indigenous wildlife. These characters need to be implemented better. They have stories and emotion. Let them shine again
.
EDIT: Welp, thinking we hit the limit folks. Wishing to have received SOME sort of info from someone at Bungie, but even silence is an answer in itself.
.
EDIT 2: We did it peeps, one THOUSAND upvotes. If this didn’t get attention and reply from community leaders/ninjas/mentors, welp, something is horribly wrong with communication.

Necrobump back into trending hopefully

It's a start anyway but they kind of made planetary vendors valuable again. All gear dropped after shadoekeep launch will be new armor 2.0 gear. That includes planetary sets of gear.

Wishing to have received SOME sort of info from someone at Bungie, but even silence is an answer in itself.
When events are going on when have you ever seen Cozmo or Dmg on this forum when the community isn't happy sorta speak? Every event that the scale tipped towards Tess Bungie has literally been silent at least on Bnet. Then you take posts like this knowing for 2 years now that has been a request that barely anything has been done with the vendors. Someone on another post asked me what was the difference between D1 and D2 trying to be a smarty about it and this is what I came up with. It's funny how he didn't make a reply after I showed him this... It's a long list.
D1. Amanda Holiday running patrol you were able to collect schematics to turn in for ships. Later she gets a full inventory of all the ships that you could purchase. D2. Amanda Holiday has an empty inventory. Totally useless... D1. Vanguard starting out a fresh character all of them had a full inventory. D2. Vanguard you only have Zavala that has an inventory that hasn't been updated in a year. Cayde-6 is dead and removed from the game. Ikora has an empty inventory that she is nothing but a power engram holder, totally useless. D1. Factions always had a full inventory of emblems, weapons, gear and later updated to having a rotating inventory and they were there 24-7 that they also have (class-specific items.) D2. Factions were removed over a year ago. The dumbest move this company has ever made in this game with Factions. D1. The Gunsmith always had a full inventory D2. The Gunsmith 2 whopping mods handing out hundreds and thousands of duplicates. D1. The speaker has a full inventory and you could trade material D2. He's dead and removed from the game. D1. Cryptarch has 3 legendary engrams to chose from and a chance when turning in engrams of getting an exotic. D2. Cryptarch 1 legendary engram and shaders no one cares for. D1. Every DLC all of the above were updated with a fresh inventory D2. All of the above barely anything updated in 2 years. Making them Totally useless. D1. Petra had somewhat of an inventory that you could collect a ship, shaders, etc. D2. Patra is nothing but a bounty place holder that has been handing out duplicates for 2 years. D1. Eris Morn in TDB had a full inventory of Shaders, emblems, Titan mark, Warlock bond, Hunters cloak and she sold ammo, etc. D2. Eris Morn I can almost guarantee she will only be a useless bounty place holder with Shadow Keep like the rest of the vendors in this entire game. D1. Crucible court master has a full inventory, you can purchase weapons sparrows and material that was updated ever DLC. D2. No crucible court master. D1. Vanguard court master has a full inventory of weapons, sparrows and later updated to purchase material. D2. No vanguard court master. D1. Shaxx had an inventory but was updated every DLC. D2. Shaxx hasn't been updated in a year other than quest like D1 had. D1. Variks has a full inventory of Amor, ships, shaders, ammo, Titan mark... and the material with a weapon that all of that was on a rotating system. D2. You don't have anything like that for any activity in the entire game. You run bounties and while running an activity like gambit hoping the wonderfull RNG will be in your favor. All of this and I didn't even add ROI vendors. Most vendors in D1 you could triad with or purchase certain items like ammo that the price varied in material/ glimmer giving you deals that weren't a high cost like a few items in D2. In D2 the vendors are totally useless or nothing but bounty place holders.
Edit: Almost forgot, even Xur in D1 had a better inventory then D2 Xur.

How have bungie devs not seen this. Cozmo? Dmg? Hello? Are you
BLIND?
Lets give this a bump

Who didn’t love going to the tower and looking at all the new gear and weapons in D1 with every new expansion!?

Изменено (bmxmitch1): 8/8/2019 9:06:40 AMPlayerbase: we want content that's earnable in game! Bungie: we want your money. We dont care. Fanboys: we buy everything you throw at us in the store. 11 Dollar for an emote is absolutely ok.

It’s funny, the other day I was in chat with my friend who was playing Destiny 2. He was farming mats on the planets and he says “it’s sad that there’s so much untapped potential this old content has that they refuse to tap into yet we get a bunch of eververse crap.” To which I responded with “yeah EA sucks....”
-
Bungie: Okay, so were listening and were updating eververse

Going to bump this and hope it goes back to the top

The characters could've sold us some cool armor and weapons ! They've been neglected for too long. But hopefully come shadowkeep they do get better inventory (doubt it) but you never know. Thank you for doing what i couldn't do lol

This please

Why go to the trouble of making npc's and hiring voice actors and then wasting them away in some useless corner of the game?
-
Yup, totally agree with you!

This has pissed me off since this game was released. The amount of new weapons has been at a trickle yet of lost count of the amount of eververse garbage I've dismantled. How can the planetary vendors still have non-updated year one junk at this stage of the game? Sh*t token system still at large for the crucible and vanguard vendors with a random shot at a small handful of weapons, which the majority are updated OLD weapons. I don't care about reskins at this stage. Just give us some new shit to buy and earn instead of a 1000th Crooked Fang and 4000th Better Devils...

Who remembers with every dlc in D1 we got new vanguard, crucible, and faction armor!

It's because they've realized that SOME PEOPLE (a tiny minority of people with lots of money to burn on stupid digital trinkets) are willing to spend loads of real world money in their attempt to not miss out on the stupid seasonal lootboxes. Bungie technically COULD just put all of the Eververse stuff in one big loot pool, or have other ways to earn items that are no longer in season, but that's not where the big bucks are. Nah, everything has to be arbitrarily time limited. It's what I like to call FOMO (fear of missing out) marketing, which is a psychological ruse they use in an attempt to manipulate players into spending real world money on microtransactions. Plenty of people have a fear of missing out. It's a pretty normal human emotion, actually. Lots of people, myself included, would be pretty bummed out about missing out on a particular Eververse item they really wanted before the season ends. Most of those people, myself included, although pretty bummed about it, wouldn't consider wasting their money on stupid -blam!-ing nonsense like that, and would be rightfully pissed off at Bungie for even inventing such a bullshit, arbitrary system. Not these -blam!-ing whales. They just -blam!-ing dive right in and throw their money at Eververse. These people are why Bungie focuses so much energy on expanding Eververse while not much elsewhere. These people are why Eververse keeps getting stingier. Eververse prints money because a tiny minority of people have absolutely no impulse control. I witnessed one of these poor souls in The Tower at the start of this season. He spent enough money to purchase something like 40 Bright Engrams iirc, in an attempt to get the Cosmos Shell. Everybody in The Tower witnessed this poor sap opening tons of Best of Year One Engrams, then complaining in chat about how many Bright Engrams he just opened and how he still didn't get the Cosmos Shell he wanted. Most people laughed at him, I recall someone mocking him and telling him "serves you right" or something along those lines, and I totally agreed with that person. I hate these whales.

Изменено (Courrier-Mojave): 8/10/2019 8:17:56 AMThey don't care. They didn't answer to " buff thundercrash " ( which is something who really need a buff !) They don't care about their community. We thought Activision was the problem but they are deaf just like when D2 came out. All they want is money. Eververse is a damn cashgrab right now.

They should add some curated weapons to each planet vendor that you have to grind activities on the planet to get
-
They cant update them to year 2 armour due to the fact that the base game will be free to play which means they need to be able to obtain year 1 armor.

Ummm cough cough Hawthorne

Изменено (holydracoeva): 8/10/2019 12:18:13 PMThe point of live service games these days is to just milk money, by making it live service people are groomed to improve their appearance more then anything. What better way then to have a cosmetic store that recieves the best looking stuff? Then make it to where you have to buy more premium currency then you need. Live service games need to die but we are now in a time where vanity is more important then skill, morales, etc.
