(This is my opinion and, honestly, this is definitely not a valid claim)
Back in 2017, Fortnite was a genuinely fun game but toxicity, salt, and business decisions made it hard to play without getting bored.

Never found it fun. Just pointless effort that has nothing to show your skill advancement in the game.

Fortnite seems like a very confused game imo. It doesn’t know which direction to go, so Epic went and added in COMPLETELY irrelevant things with each season. Save The World stuck with its building aspect, but Fortnite... yea, it has no unique distinction when it comes to shooters. You look at Titanfall 2, it’s known for mobility. You look at Bioshock, it’s known for its atmosphere. You look at Mass Effect, it’s known for its characters. You can’t really distinguish Fortnite from other games. It’s got building, but that’s about it. Everything else has been done already by other games, and is never built upon. It’s a shame. I wish they did. I liked the game back in Season 3, I’ll admit, but once they added the cube monster crap and respawn stations and grapples and what-not... I mean, it would help if they built upon the existing gameplay aspects, not throw in stuff that’s already tried and true. The game needs to be unique for me to give me a reason to play it. As a shooter, the game sucks. Seriously, gunplay sucks. As a builder, the game becomes boring too quickly with not enough action. As a battle royale, it’s not bad. As whatever it is right now, it has no unique direction and Epic is throwing whatever it can at the game right now. Maybe this is just my opinion, I dunno. But a game needs to stand out to give me a reason to play it. Same applies for CoD, same applies for stuff like card games.

Forknif is there to keep little kids from good games and making them bad

I never played it myself, though after watching my siblings play it on a daily basis, I have no desire to play it at all.
-
Never played it, And never will. (≧艸≦*)
-
Meh it was never fun to me.
-
I only played Save the World

I really enjoyed the pve in fortnight, ‘save the world’ or something. Good progression and variety, good balance of loot and grind and fun game play, I love killing zombies. I played the pvp a bit here n there but it soon gets repetitive and boring 😴 Not played it in a while I might check in again :)

I agree with this. My problem is that so much of the game relies on building, which is unique to fortnite.
-
I agree. I hated playing it because I sucked at it, but all my hate towards it was because of me, not the game or other player base. Thus is tragedy with main stream games, children get their hands on it and seem to ruin it, like Minecraft

Yeah. I played Fortnite for a while. December 2017 through Summer 2018. After that, I stopped.
-
I used to play it. A lot. The salt and the SMG meta at the time pushed me away HARD.

This is just every PvP game in general.
-
Eh. It was ok. It still got boring pretty fast
-
I had fun with the game for a week. Then I got bored. Tried it again a couple seasons later, still boring
-
I played the beta. It was mundane, similar-ish to a bunch of other shooters with a measure of Minecraft thrown in, had no redeeming qualities then and seemed to be made for 12 year olds. Hard pass.
-
I played it for a few hours before getting bored back when people criticized it calling it a PUBG clone.
-
season two/three was good
-
I was just waiting for pve to go free. I don't think it ever will (unless it is and I don't know it.).
-
Yes. Also epic killed Paragon to boost their work on Fortnite so just -blam!- them.

I’ll admit, I played some fortnite back in the day. But it got old fast.
