This could be an internet service provider issue.
If you are on a wireless connection, a wired connection is recommended to play Destiny.
If your internet connection is being used for anything else besides playing the game, such as watching a movie or streaming, it's recommended to quit those programs.

I am getting this error as well. I do not have a Ryzen CPU. I am using a wired connection and I have restarted router, and pc. connection issues are not a problem. I just reinstalled the game last night and bought forsaken. Says "Error: Destiny Servers are currently unavailable" then gives me the option to try again or dismiss.
