Calus didn't really speak with Cayde(that I'm aware of) so lorewise it would make absolutely no sense that a Cayde statue would be in his ship.

Cause I took it there MYSELF!! I tore down the statue of that narcissistic prick and put up a tribute to the most badass of my vanguard mentors!!
-
Well if we are talking lore wise and tributes being activity’s you have done then why is their no ace of spades tribute? Or a tribute for the black armory? Or nobe labs? Seems its rather just a oversight on the devs part and not a lore problem but Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Cant punish new players for not having the annual pass from a certain year that has passed? But still, not having any acknowledgment does feel empty.
-
The prior Seasons besides Season of the Drifter didn't have much to do with Calus though(Drifter met with Calus). Most the Tributes deal with him in some way. Idk.
-
Also tributes for ikora, zavala, shax, and even the eververse (and i mean straight up ever verse like a eververse box) so why not cayde again?
-
-
Not when calus was around. The leviathan raid was a year 1 thing.
-
But when did the Tribute Hall become available? Year 2. Like I said Cayde is dead and there is absolutely no reason for Calus to make a statue for a dead human/exo that he never even knew. Quit trying to force lore.

Such a chad ill give you a cookie you deserve it for being such a intellectual
-
Wouldn't really make sense to have the iron banner tribute or the gambit bank tribute either though, right?
-
Why not? They're activities you completed. There's a difference between the two.
-
Yes, but there's statues for Ikora and Zavala, right? Those aren't activities. Cayde could have/be there

I mean the emperor seems to have enough resources to have the tribute hall be new construction. cayde had teleporters, stealth units, and rocket ships. between these two things it seems like this would make enough grey area for it to happen.
-
Yeah but Cayde was stuck in the Tower until Forsaken and even then he only left to help Petra in the Prison of Elders. It's like 99% unlikely that they met

lore is lore until the people who write the lore deem that that lore wasn't lore enough. all the writers need to do is write and then that becomes cannon. Plus a massive part (in terms of the plot) of the red war campaign was cayde and the teleporter on nessus. nessus is close to where the levithan lives in the galaxy. (ignoring that the raid didnt appear until long after the end of the campaign) again there is sufficent grey area for somthing to exist. you have never personally met calus face to face cayde does not have to either.

And once he was in the tower he had to stay since he is/was the Hunter Vanguard. Kind of why "The Dare" was so impactful. Like I get that they have somewhat tweaked lore since D1 release but that was the thing with Cayde, he was an adventurer stuck in an office job basically and to change that after Forsaken seems "eh" because I'd always taken him in Forsaken as being his first time since the Red War that he got to stretch his legs.
again there is sufficent grey area for somthing to exist. you have never personally met calus face to face cayde does not have to either.
Even if they had met in some way why would Calus pay tribute in a way to a Guardian he never planned on having as his Shadow? It's those types of lore-flaws that make me not see that happening(especially since the Calus Statue talks to you in the beginning of the Tribute Hall Quest). And let me be clear I loved (Nathan Fillion) Cayde just as much as the rest of the other Guardians but to force something like this is just silly in a way. We already have the Zavala Plaque and the Ramen Store Plaque as well. We just need to let go until we possibly see him in Shadowkeep or at a later day when the Stone Crypt possibly becomes more prominent.
