Have 3 Chest at the end of the boss fight. Add 1 key drop each successful encounter you run through (getting max score)
To make it fair so people don't botch other peoples runs, have the keys only usable for that run. Please upvote so mods can see this. 1 chest after one completion is too little for the effort especially for heroic. This is the reason the reckoning sucks (granted you can get the exact weapon and masterwork you want from menagerie) I hate doing more than 3 runs of the reckoning just for a chance to get a weapon and even then it won't happen. No one is going to want to run menagerie over and over for 1+ gear
Edit: Make one of those chest or the first chest a powerful drop while you're next trip gives you the second powerful drop
Please UPVOTE so mods can see.

More loot = happier players. I say farm the crap out of it till the patch then let it die so Bungie can learn this
-
Add one extra chest to heroic menargie is all they should do.
-
Say what you will people who is on the "menagerie is fine, still the best way to farm after the fix" side, menagerie will take a huge dip in player count. So your opinion on the matter of thinking yourself as correct, whether you are or not it will not change the fact that the menagerie will lose a lot of consecutive players.
-
Anyone else notice that fixing Lord of Wolves was too much work? But fixing menagerie rewards isn't? 😆😆😆
-
Just put chests that pop up in every room. Problem solved.
-
Biggest complaint during the first year of D2 was that good loot was way to easy to aquire and should require more grinding. Bungie ads an event that lets you pick the drop and base stats.. only randomness are the perks. 1 run takes less than 15 mins on normal. Yet thats just unacceptable? Huh? I see zero issues with the patch and it should allow the content to last longer. Cause at the rate players are getting drops they will be done in a week, crying that they have nothing to do. The reaction to the patch has been a bit ridiculous IMO.
-
How about this. Should just be 5 chests at the end, like the verdant forest ending. Lootsplosions!
-
To be fair, getting 100% completion on an encounter in order to get keys will just make matchmaking irrelevant. Most of the time in matchmaking I can usually count on 1-2 encounters being fully completed. Even with the gauntlet cheese. I’d rather they don’t even touch it. Mainly because in year 3 we know that all our current armor will be useless. Weapons may or may not be still be useful. It will probably take three months for most everyone to get the perfect rolls on everything. After that who cares because hardly anyone will be playing Menagerie after Shadowkeep drops.

Seems balanced enough.

Let’s look at it from a Californian business PoV. This last part of the annual pass has all been done by activision’s studios who purposely inserted this “glitch.” Activision is known for inserting glitches that create buzz. On the other side, Bungie’s packed with ultra sensitive buttholes and they’re very upset and concerned that all the activities we have enjoyed in D2 were developed by activision’s studios, whilst they developed every part we hated. Even if they can rely on their scrubby streamers and brainwashers to convince all the poor souls in search of imaginary boyfriends and girlfriends to believe that activision was the great evil, their rhetoric doesn’t hold anymore already and will totally fade in September. The fact is, more than the content, they are concerned about the rumors and hype. Many players will wait for their friends to tell them what they think of this coming fall release before buying it. If this last bit of the annual pass continues to be good, then chances are there will be disappointment. Dissatisfaction is worst than insatisfaction.

People still dont have god rolled Beloveds, Austringers, and whatever the shotgun is. Never mind the fact you can also farm dust rocks and Twilight Oaths. You losers cry for a grind then cry when you have to grind. You cry for things to be easier then cry that the game is to easy. Menagerie will still be run. You just need to get better

This idea is probably one of the best ideas I’ve ever seen on the forums
-
We knew it was a bug and fully expected it to get patched, but one drop at a time is very much unrewarding, and Heroic is basically without purpose. You get your Izanagi cata and then what, bad curated rolls? I guess it makes for a way to get cores, if nothing else. It's just Menagerie, but with some bigger numbers, and no reason to really care. Give multiple chests for Heroic, maybe then it'll have a purpose.

Yes. I see why Bungle is doing it, inflate the play time. Instead of us being able to farm multiple rewards (let’s face it, we all have 8000 friggin runes that are just worthless at this point) and utilize all that excess of runes to chase our good rolls, multiple attempts per menagerie, we now are being stuck to just one..... for the average player, the majority of people here aren’t super hardcore, don’t play for hours a day, don’t use destiny as a full time job..... this “farm” is the greatest things for us since the loot cave (I work full time 50 hours at a “normal” job and spend the rest of my time as a paid on call firefighter. I don’t have that kind of time to dump in like I would want to). I spend my 15-25 minutes (depending on my team) to complete a run. I can get 5-6 attempts at the weapon roll I want. Do I get it or not, who knows. But if I don’t, I know that I’ll probably go back into it again, maybe right away and try some more, maybe a day later depending on how my day’s looking.... from my “semi-casual” perspective, with this change, this is just screwing the pooch because of the RNG system. I’ll play ONE menagerie, get my ONE chest for my 15-25 minutes and then (like RNG always gives me a middle finger) get my sniper with hip-fire grip or my shotgun with air assault and grounded.... then get pissed, tell menagerie to go pound sand in a rat hole in Afghanistan, and not even waste my time at it again. TL:DR. This makes this activity much more inviting to the majority of the fan base. It’s a lot based game. Let us get our friggin loot and stop trying to artificially inflate the play time. Respect the players time. This current “bug” has brought many people back and playing more. Your half handed attempt to try to force more playtime by limiting this option, is not respecting the average players time and is actually going to reduce overall playtime. Mark my words on that last point and let’s revisit this in a couple weeks.

They should have an extra chest for each successful flawless completed that way you can get a total of 3 every run.
-
Maybe change one of the chalice perks to guarantee a 2nd drop or something. I had to roll 25-30 shotguns before I got trench barrel, not doing that again one at a time. I get what people mean though, the system has been praised by the community so seems a little daft to completely get rid of it and not meet everyone half way of some sorts.
-
I don't think they fully understand the implications of this "error". This would be the third of its kind in the history of the franchise.
-
Another way would be to give so many seconds added to final chest for each time you COMPLETED EACH ENCOUNTER CORRECTLY. No more than 300 secs at the end though.
-
Literally nobody complained when it first came out and nobody knew about the glitch. Now that bungie let you have your fun, and wants to patch it, you're all -blam!- like a bunch of spoiled brats lol. Gimme a break.
-
Изменено (Cayde's Side Chick (Adept)): 6/29/2019 3:49:01 AMDude, you can run back to the chest until the timer runs out and get more than three drops. There's nothing wrong with the Menagerie.
To clarify.. Yeah I get it, that's going away. Farm now, then. The normal Menagerie isn't all that time consuming and honestly still fun before that. The Heroic, however..
-
Изменено (Decca0805): 6/28/2019 6:01:37 AMWhat you have described isn’t a fix, since there’s no explained related issue that it will be fixing. This is merely a change to the menagerie, and an unnecessary one at that. We already get to choose exactly which weapon and masterwork we want. Do we really need more rewards? I doubt Bungie thinks so, since the chalice can increase the number of powerful drops each week. Nobody is on the edge of discarding menagerie over this. FYI; begging for upvotes on your idea is... well... 😕. Attention seeking isn’t cool. It’s just kinda sad. There’s also ways to be less obvious about it. At least try, my man, to look like you want to seem authentic.
-
That's actually a good idea that'll be better than nerfing the chest glitch.
-
Leave it as it is and people will complain theres nothing to do in 4 weeks time. It has to be fixed
-
the reason you ferl that way is you have been getting more than was intended. i have been getting multiple on each run, and i would be fine with only 1 per run.
-
Or you could just take the one chest they intended it to reward.
-
I like this idea, but the fix won't be the end of the world. Imagine if the glitch hadn't existed to begin with. Menagerie would still be an amazing way to farm what you want. Faster than forges, easier than Reckoning, and is easily more fun than either.
