Seriously thank you bungie for changing the crucible pinnacle weapon quest to something more obtainable. As a parent of 2 it is so great not to feel locked out of a weapon I really want. The sniper kill requirements are reasonable and not having to be at the mercy of teammates going afk and loosing me glory/progress has changed the process of getting a pinnacle weapon from beyond stressful to lots of fun. Honestly I’m enjoying playing crucible more now than ever.

It turned crucible to campy sniper shitfest, unfortunately. Other than having the ambush scope it's a (well rolled) completely ordinary sniper. People lose their minds over any crucible "trophy" though.
-
It's definitely a season long quest. I've been trying it and it is an annoying grind.
-
I love snipers, I loved them in D1 and have been using them since forsaken sandbox changes, so it’s nice to see this season more snipers than shotguns. That said I’m close to the revoker and can’t wait, only disappointment for me is that it’s a kinetic so I won’t be able to pair it with my last word.
-
this has obviously ruined PVP as everyone is sniping away from distance so making kills hard to get. its a grind arghhh, at least we dont lose progress.
-
I liked it to. It took me 50 or 60 matches to get 2100 glory for lunas, plus the kills. Revoker took me 62 matches to get. I think getting glory this season is harder than the previous though. Matchmaking is a little more rough. Some of the teammates I get or the teams I face make it a back and forth constantly.
-
It's so great that they made this gun. Now every other match I load into, most of the people are just camping in the back.

Изменено (draycole): 6/27/2019 6:05:23 AMBetter than the dogshit mountaintop quest that revolves around an entire archetype of weapon that doesn't even function properly. Annoyed I have to grind crucible again for a good PVE weapon
-
If I was lucky enough to be blessed with 2 kids i wouldn't play this game at all.
-
The Comp game modes are still, IMO, less than satisfying to play.
-
100% agree. Revoker is the first crucible pinnacle weapon I’ve been able to get for this very reason. However, I’m not a pro level player. I think going the Luna’s and Not Forgotten route is the right way to do crucible pinnacle weapons. Make something that takes a long, medium difficulty grind to get for the more casual people, and make something that isn’t as long but takes significantly more skill for the higher tier players
-
What I like most about it is people try to use other loadouts now. The ape loadout is still best but atleast people use less viable weapons in order to do quests.
-
Make every quest like the Not Forgotten so casuals won’t be able to get good weapons
-
Yep makes things a little less stressful. Which given the state of matchmaking etc is really good. I think ideally I'd like them to have one weapon not require a rank, and another to require a rank achievement. And perhaps legendary gets you a skin (a cool one that REALLY changes the weapon appearance). At the end of the day we need more people attempting to play comp. So making some of the rewards actually attainable is a really good thing.
-
Still a shame beloved can get no distract and revoker cant

I like it overall, but I do feel that glory has somewhat lost its purpose. The original point of glory was to get sweet loot, but now it just feels more like a number. I would like to see a hybrid system, similar to the Luna's Howl quest. You could get Luna's Howl without extreme difficulty, but the top 1% was able to get a slightly better version. For the rest, it was at least something to set your sights on.

I think this particular one might be a tad easy, but I do appreciate that they are at least testing the idea of what the quests might need. I'm a pretty decent pvp player, but poor matchmaking and solo vs 4 stacks are only part of what make the pvp system in destiny a little frustrating currently when it comes to finishing quests (eyeing you iron banner). Melee hit detection issues, peer to peer problems, people leaving matches at the first sign of it being a tougher match etc. It makes solo grinding for any of the glory quests a bit frustrating. When you personally do excellently in a match but your team did very poorly and you get punished it's discouraging. And yes I know, "go get a team" etc, but that's not always an option. I would love to see them implement more personal performance requirements potentially, so that you can personally get progression on quests even if you get poorly built teams/poor matchmaking/etc.
-
what was different that kept u from enjoying it before, a quest?
-
Having the glory in comp be accumulative for the quest, and not have a subtraction from a loss, erased the salt I had for comp.
-
on the plus side you get an easy quest. on the negative you get a weapon that will get you killed if you use it vs Not Forgotten which could wipe entire teams..... me thinks you missed the point of the hard quests
-
I’m at fabled and I still don’t have it and now I play only 4 stacks spamming erentil 😬 quest sucks for better players who solo que

The comments are why Trials needs to come back. Comp is best as a middle ground between the top tiers of PvP'ers who want the top weapons (from Trials), and casual Crucible/Destiny players who play often enough to want a different challenge, game type & 'pinnacle' weapon vs Quickplay. People leaving or getting kicked after one match, matchmaking putting you in 2v4 or 3v4 also makes Comp close to unplayable and Fabled unreachable (though I did hit 2050 last season; so close).
-
matchmaking is garbage
-
Agreed. I was disappointed to see that you have to earn Glory points to get it, but was pleasantly surprised to see that you don't actually need to get to 3,500 in comp at once. I'm working towards getting it now. The perks and stats on the gun look pretty awesome.

Изменено (blade329): 6/26/2019 6:24:49 PMFor someone who is a sniper newb, this quest is tough. I can barely get 1-2 sniper kills a match. This is going to take some time. Update: Thanks for all the helpful tips, guys. I appreciate it.

Congrats... Still what it has to do with having 2 children with not having what it takes to get to Fabled...
-
And because its way easier to get, the revoker is trash. Bite of the fox is better.
