“So, we’re out of time. But you say you’ve found a vault with a weapon in it?” “Yes, the House of Rain lead us to it.” “Ah yes, the House of Rain, did they tell you why there were here?” “Yes, Zavala, they are fleeing the Aphelion, the darkness. They came here to find the weapon of light in the vault.” “They came all this way to show us a locked door? They always stuck close to old Asia. Guardian, go and open that vault by any means necessary.” “Zavala? Are you sure that we should just tip our hand now?” “Yes, now is the time we fight, if whatever is in that vault can help us than we need it open as soon as possible. If we don’t now, we may never get the chance again. GO!” The Guardian rushed back to the Vault and told them the mission. The fragments were kept by four taken enemies, but they looked odd. Not like anything we’ve seen get taken before. They were almost like big knights and not the hive kind. The Camelot kind, but taken. The Guardian had to kill them alone, the House of Rain needed protecting, that was Last Light’s job. It didn’t take the Guardian long to collect the fragments. “You have them? Good, give them here.” The captain knew what to do, the Guardian looks confused by this act. The captain places the fragments in their places. The door begins to glow and show inscriptions in greek. The tree vines break off the door as it opens to reveal a large stone chest. “This looks like a tomb, not a vault.” The ghost was right. Wolf’s ghost Yuuki began to look around, it stumbled upon a small white shell. Another ghost, asleep, not dead. When she got close, it woke. It began frantically flying around. It was pure and white, it had a strange white light resonating in its eye and shell. Then it saw Wolf and Yuuki. “Wolf? Is that you? How… how did you find this place?” “Skye? I thought you and… I thought you were gone. Bavask lead us here. We are searching for a weapon of light, he thinks its here.” “A weapon of light… a weapon of light. Why would Bavask think there’s a… oh, oh no. The Aphelion! Are they here? Are they back!” “Yes, they’re…” “WOLF, GUARDIAN! WE HAVE INCOMING!” One of the members of the Last Light shouted. They were back and had more ships, more of the things that attacked the camp. They kept calling them Aphelion. “We have to hold them back! Skye! Get that thing open! We need that weapon!” “Yeah, of course. I’ll get this open, you keep me covered.” This ghost knew what was in the vault, she said quietly: “Come on, wake up damn it…” The Aphelion were swarming them, the sky was black with a purple haze. This fight was as important to them as it was to us. “HOLD YOUR GROUND!” Bavask, the old eliksni captain, ordered his guard to fight and told his young to hide in the vault. “Give that ghost time!” The battle was one sided, the dark was winning, easily. They could not be stopped. They corrupted everything in their path. Including the light. “It’s hopeless.” “Keep fighting!” There was mixed feelings amongst them, the sight of the dark was frightening. The very sight drove the eliksni mad. They could not face the fear, and neither could the guardians. “HURRY UP!” Wolf was desperate. They all were. The Guardian quietly fired into the dark, getting a few shots here and there, solar, void and arc light was flying every witch way into the horde, they fought and died again and again. “Almost open! Come on you stubborn -blam!-…” The fight was turning grim, one of the Last Light guardians fell, the dark consumed him. There was only three left, the eliksni could not fight. Bavask tried to stand but could not, it was overwhelming. The urge to let them take you, they struck fear into you, the evil, the vile power. “Its open!” Skye shouted as a white glow appeared from the stone tomb.
