Just wanted to spread awareness.
I know a lot of people in this community want nothing to do with streamers, but this is a very noble cause. Kids die from cancer every single day, and aren’t given the same privileges we have.
St. Jude treats children with all types of cancer, and doesn’t charge any of them a single penny. So naturally it takes a lot of money to keep the place running.
If you want to consider donating to the cause, GuardianCon will be streaming on twitch all week long at the times shown on the schedule below. Any amount helps, and all proceeds go to the treatment and research of cancer in children.
The destiny community plays a big part in this fundraiser every year, and St. Jude always appreciates what funds are raised by us. It’s totally up to you, but consider a donation for the kids.

Изменено (GRAVEL): 6/18/2019 4:41:19 PMIt's a great cause, great event, great charity. I am not a wealthy man but my boys and I follow the streams and donate 100 dollars every year. It was an awesome teachable experience. However, The Destiny Community Podcast, Patrick Casey and Pope bear, should be 100 percent banned from this event until... They honour their promised commitments from last year.

would donate but am poor
-
What about all the adults with cancer?
-
We'll be on Thursday from 4-8 EST. Don't wait, though - hop in and watch whenever you feel.
For the kids!
-
If American had a national health service you wouldn't need to rely on charity to help sick kids get treatment.

Изменено (Wolfje5023): 6/17/2019 4:23:03 AMNo thanks, I donate enough to charity. And its about every big streamer that 'does' that. It isnt just 'Destiny' and Destiny is acutally a very small part. ;) I bet Cohh got paid to stream there XD Also with all due trespect... Why does it have to be cancer? Cancer is fairly treatable now. There's other deceases around that are not.
-
Too many supposed things like this only give a small portion to said cause, Not that I necessarily think it is happening here because I have no clue. I would rather donate to the actual charity vs hoping the people doing the fundraiser are being honest about it, which most aren't. This is where my money goes once a year. https://www.stjude.org/give.html
-
Or just donate directly to St. Jude.
-
I just want to see the actual salaries the streamers “raredrop” which is the company they created to run guardiancon collect to run this charity?
-
Dude so many shady streamers backing that I doubt that money goes to kids.
-
pretty noble cause, but some of the way these streamers are going about the donations is laughable. “if you donate a $1000, you get to play with me, for one WHOLE match :) “ like what the fu...? just who the frick do you think you are, kid, brad pitt? 🤣

Nerf cancer
-
Ah, the classic tax evasion trick of big corporations. Let your customers pay for the charity, enjoy the publicity for your product, and eventually cash in on the tax write-off. Just to be clear I love charity and ppl trying to make a change. I just wish it wasn't always attributed to corporations who mostly don't donate themselves anyway. Good luck with the streams.
-
10% Of my paycheck every week goes to a different charity. If people want to help charities don't do it just for events do it when you can.
-
I have cancer, and I can tell you every penny counts
-
I think about going to guardiancon every year but never do. I will someday I guess. Anyways, St. Jude’s is a worthy cause. Thanks for spreading awareness OP.

Изменено (draycole): 6/17/2019 2:11:28 AMWent year before last. I gotta say it was really cool I think they raised over $1 million They've got my support!
rick khakis
Here. What is up guys?
-
But streamers suck REEE
This stuff ain’t out of the normal. The “just donate to st. Jude lol” doesn’t discredit any of the awareness or money that Guardiancon raises.
They should get Big Show to play some live....have his theme music playing and go nuts As a Destiny player and watching wrestling since I was like two, would love to see some other wrestlers there...I am pretty sure I heard AJ Styles, Austin Creed(Xavier Woods) and Seth Rollins play on the road a lot That and WWE is big into charity (yes, tax write-off) and make a wish stuff

Require proof.
-
It is a worthy cause. I've donated 20 dollars to st. Judes already thanks to a streamer called wtfgamenation

A river in a dry land The last ace in a lost hand When the hope of new beginnings burned our feet Now we need it A heartbeat for a tin man An oasis in a singed land Remind us what we're here for Creating new life Creating rivers in the desert.

I will donate my legendary shards from all my edge transits
