The balances are needed for the developers to progress their own game forward. How dare they add some diversity to their game that they made, not you.

making items less effective isn't adding diversity. It's simply planned obsolescence and poor design.
-
I hear ya. I agree. You sure got some people salty about that though haha

Tell Luke Smith I said hi, his office can't be far from your box office.

A game funded by US made for US!!! There would be NO bungie without paying customers! Shame on us for wanting a little "bang for our buck"

What side of the bed did you wake up on?

"Progress thier own game forward" Hahahahahahaha Hahahahahahaha

Oh -blam!- off. You're probably the lad that runs around with shotguns in the Crucible.

Nonetheless, i disagree with your statement.

Ahh I see. Typically the people who make comments like yours are complaining -blam!-. The kind who use shotguns. But I see you are a man of quality. Sorry for the assumption

Bs it just shows how lazy they are these nerfs are not necessary at all fact...
Down voted. The balances are needed for the developers because they can no longer churn out anything original.
Fixed it

Most of the exotics are boring. So the remedy is to make the fun/useful exotics more boring. Genius.

If bungie cannot create new content around a dozen or so exotics then they are creatively bankrupt. If all exotics were powerful as they should, bungie would have to create content around 70 plus exotic armor pieces plus all weapons which would be a much much more difficult task. So in summary, what we have here with so many junk exotics is a relatively easy environment to develop new content.

You're happy with nerfs but no buffs? I'll wager you like to be spat on and told it's raining...

the problem is, they keep mentioning "power creep/fantasy" but they haven't shown any signs of even ATTEMPTING to bring anything up. People aren't not using Lucky Pants because Orpheus Rigs are "op" they're not using Lucky Pants because they offer minimal help in playing. They are also constantly making us pay for mistakes they are making. What was their thought process of bringing back what was Destiny 1's unnerfed Black Spindle, it was an issue then and they thought it wouldn't be an issue this time around? It was done to pad playtime and give a burst of engagement. Now that they kept us on life support a bit longer, they're bringing it down again. They made the weapon. This is their job to come up with mechanics that don't let us just sit in the back and snipe a boss safely. This is a "them" problem, that they are making an "us" problem. There is 0 respect for player time and investment. We're not just mad, we're disappointed.

Remember, bungie had to nerf ep and forge content because of environmental power creep. That's where the power creep arguement fails, as people only consider creep in the player side.

Your bosses called and due to restructuring of your job you will be required to do twice the work for less pay. Thanks for being super duper understanding in this time of change

Terrible analogy.

What comparison did I refer to ? I simple stated something shitty he also could agree with since he doesn't care what is going on . He will accept anything
-
Until they show some buffs for other weapons and armor this does not add any diversity.
-
If they need to nerf gear that's been in the game for months, if not since launch, to balance new encounters, then that's on them for not designing encounters with that gear in mind. Also, nerfing this gear won't add diversity because even after the nerfs, the gear on the list is still going to be light years ahead of all the borderline worthless exotics that are clogging our vaults. No one wants to stop developers from progressing the game forward, we want the developers to stop taking shortcuts, because that's exactly what this round of nerfs is.
