Luna/NF change under the microscope...

This is simply an informative post about the projected outcome of the changes to Luna. Any opinions you have of the changes, you are free to keep. To start off, yes I have Luna. I don't have Not Forgotten because, frankly, I'm not afraid to admit that I am simply not good or dedicated enough to get to Legend. I'm good enough to hold at least a 1.5 on average in my matches, even without Luna. But, I am basically a duo player. My only teammate 90% of the time is my wife, who fought alongside me to earn her Luna too (in one day, might I add). With that out of the way, I want to give some preliminary analysis to these changes. They're knocking the RoF down one notch, from the fastest RoF to the second-fastest. The damage is also changing to match. What does this mean, alongside the MH changes? The guns can 3-shot in ways that other 150s cannot. Be it 3 headshots, or 2 head and 1 body, Luna and Not Forgotten will down a Guardian. 150s can already 3-tap to the head, but what this essentially does is make these two the only 150s that can do it every time, without needing all headshots. But they are also keeping the recoil pattern of the 180 Precision Frame (which, let's face it, means it has no recoil at all). They're basically the easiest (and deadliest) 150 Hand Cannons. They kill in the same number of shots as the three main contending Hand Cannons: Thorn, Ace, and Last Word. They fire slightly faster than Ace of Spades, but lose in the range category. Conversely, they kill in the same number of shots as The Last Word, but win in the range game against Last Word. They match Thorn in RoF, and all three can kill in 2:1, but unlike Thorn, Luna and Not Forgotten don't need to be primed with a kill or any outside buff first. They do it by themselves. And unlike Thorn, you aren't depending on the poison to finish them off (which can easily be counteracted via regenerative effects such as Devour, One Eyed Mask, or just walking through a rift.) Where does this put Luna and Not Forgotten? They're right in the middle. They can contend with Ace and 110's as long as you play in your range, due to the easier recoil and faster RoF, and they can contend with TLW due to range. They can out-duel 180s with the exception of a Kill Clip Service Revolver -but that's fair enough, it's Kill Clip. And they outclass all other 150s due to superior ease of use. On top of this, they're Legendary. You still have full customization for the rest of your loadout. Overall, sounds like a kick in the d*ck. But let's face it, we all knew it was coming. Now, before we light any more torches, let's get some perspective on this outcome: Let's compare these weapons to another Pinnacle PvP weapon: The Recluse. It is a "perfect" 900 SMG. Is it unstoppable? Not by a long shot. Plenty of guns can out-duel Recluse if you aren't playing to its strengths, and more importantly, its range. All The Recluse is, is simply the personification of "the best/ideal SMG." Without being omnipotent. That is what it means to be a "pinnacle" weapon. It's top-of-its-class, but that doesn't mean it outclasses everything.
