Error code bird and Mouse input lag

Can anybody help me to solve a couple of issues? First, I'm constantly getting disconnected from the tower with error code bird. I have tried turning on and off UPnP as well as port forwarding (but not both at once, as the networking page warns against doing). I have reset my connection, restarted my pc, updated drivers, and the whole 9 yards to no avail. This problem has persisted for weeks. My second issue involves mouse input lag. This is absolutely game breaking. I cannot find the source of the problem, but it seems to be at its worst when I first start destiny and especially after a reboot of my pc. In short, I'll be playing normally until suddenly my mouse input starts getting choppy to the point that I cannot aim whatsoever. No frame loss nor loss of any other control (everything on the keyboard works fine.) I've done a little troubleshooting here as well (updated drivers, lowered my report rate in logitech g hub) but so far it has done nothing to help.
