So i have a 144hz monitor like most on pc these days, i would like to play at 144fps but i cant i need to play with vsync and it has to be set to 72fps or else i encounter hitches where it seems like the game just doesnt listen to mouse input, the game locks up for about a second the returns to normal, I watch the fps counter and the thing never shows a drop, this happens whenever v sync is turned off or set to higher than 72fps, its been happening for a while now, my pc is way above the specs of d2 requirements aswell so cannot be a performance issue. being forced to play at 72fps is fairly annoying after forking out cash to have a good pc then being forced to cap my frames because this game doesnt like working with more than 72fps for me, i need a solution to be able to play at a higher frame rate, ive tried all the basic troubleshooting and none of it works so im stuck with it.
Basic Spec list:
GTX 1070
i7 7700k
32gb ram
If you try to tell me the same stuff the last support member put basically telling me i shouldnt play with a fps above 72fps your literally not helping in anyway and shown the pathetic nature of this being a pc port.
So some actual trouble shooting methods or a actual fix would be good this time round.

Изменено (Kaijoe): 12/14/2018 9:10:00 PMA bunch of us have been troubleshooting this issue for MONTHS. The Bungie staff on this forum have been very unhelpful in finding a fix or escalating this issue to the correct parties. We've received copy-pasted messages about deleting CVARS and turning on V-Sync/aim smoothing again and again and again. Doesn't work. I've reinstalled Destiny 2 multiple times on many different SSDs/HDDs. I've reinstalled Windows, NVIDIA drivers, bought a new GPU, CPU, you name it. I have a standby cache removal command prompt going every 5 minutes. Nada. Hate to say it, but looking at the upcoming patch notes we're stuck with this high FPS stuttering/hitching bug for awhile longer. Изменено (Remi): 12/15/2018 9:54:10 PMI really hope you can figure this out. That would drive me insane. I'm at 140 FPS and it's smooth as butter. After installing Windows and the NVIDIA driver the only settings I change are the monitor's refresh rate via advanced display properties, I turn on "Maximum Performance" under Window's power setting, I install MSI Afterburner and RTSS and cap my FPS at 140(for Destiny I use the in game FPS cap setting) since hitting 144 FPS will turn off GSYNC and cause intermittent tearing, and then I turn on GSYNC and VSYNC via the NVCP. Those are the only settings I change after a fresh Windows install. One of the things I like about this game is how smooth it feels. Latest version of windows. 8700k 2080TI XC2 I mostly stay at 140 1080TI FTW3 Hybrid I was hitting 90-140 FPS. Acer XB270HU 1440p/144FPS What resolution are you playing at? If you're playing 1440p I'm not sure how much FPS the 1070 can put out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4x5WFIfg9M Aside from that the problem sounds like a CPU/RAM issue to me. Maybe a motherboard driver is missing? Aside from the micro stutters I've dealt with in the past due to SLI the main culprit has always been the RAM or I didn't install the chipset drivers from the vendor. I usually had to re-seat or reset the BIOS/UEFI sometimes as well. Good luck! I would be extremely annoyed.

I am also having this same problem. MSI GE62MVR 7RG. GTX 1070 with an i7 CPU. It stutters horribly for about a second and then its fine. I usually get a solid 100 FPS at least before the stuttering occurs. I've tried just about every solution recommended thats out there. Even a fresh installation of Windows and all of my drivers. No luck.

Yeah the Devs on the forums have been beyond useless when it comes to this problem. A lot of us have already reported it. I also wrote a post about it on Reddit, where even more people admitted to having encountered the same problem. So far we have not heard anything from the devs about it and I am honestly giving up hope that there ever will be a fix :/
