Exactly. Zerg evolve to counter flood, flood evolved to counter Zerg. It’d never end!

Not just that, but the Flood actually turn your flesh into their cells. Kinda like forced mutation or bacteria infection. Turns whatever flesh that isn’t infected in first contact into literal dead flesh.
