Liked IB but matchmaking is still the issue

I like that light level matters again in some aspects. Otherwise theres hardly a point besides end game grind. It gives purpose to the highest light levels for the mainly pvp players. That being said. Match making should have been addressed before this went into effect. I have no issues with light differences, especially with the graph and damage drop off explanation, it seems fair. What is NOT fair and will NEVER be fair no matter how you stir it, is a match of non-communicative solo players vs a clan in a chat party. The simple act of being able to say "hes to the left" "im going to super so watch my back" or "hey guy, bank those motes we're ready for the prime" can literally be the diference between a boring win, a fun challenge and getting totally dishearteningly wrecked. It doesnt even have to be a full squad, a doubles team can significantly change the direction of a match against 4 solos who have no concept of team strategy. I play solo and I play with friends, so I'm on either side of the spectrum often enough to say I dont have a particularly good time in either the wrecking or getting wrecked scenarios Sure the win is nice but stomping a team to dust is only fun once in a blue moon, too much and it makes it boring. The stomping is enough to say "my milestone is done, no more crucie this week" when its too frequent. I understand there are players who enjoy either side of that, but for me, and Id like to think the majority of players, its the most fun when it comes down to the wire. The last 30 seconds or a tie breaker even. Where the lead changes hands a half dozen times through the game and youre on the edge of your seat tryjng to be the smarter faster stronger guy just around the corner to pull that last point out for your teams win. Those are the matches your matchmaking system should be looking to make, and these are the matches that I rarely see. Some dedicated servers or maybe just some stronger algorithms and coding. I know you said a while ago you were taking a look at some of the matchmaking code and security to address stuff for trials and all that, and I think the whole thing could use a once over. Fix matchmaking issues and 85% of all my crucible issues go away.
