I've been a warlock since day 1. Three accounts D1 and three accounts D2, even after bungie nerfed them into the ground after the Taken king I continued to play as a warlock thinking it would get better. When they released the Dawnblade I was really excited to try it in PVP until I played it. I like the concept of it but it feels sluggish, and under powered. The first thing I noticed when I activated it was the visibility you cant hardly see anything on the right side of your body which gives a slight disadvantage especially since high ground is your friend. I figured it was a new subclass and i had to get used to it and with some practice I got better BUT i was still having issues with visibility, close range encounters is minimal and the damage is so inconsistent its ridiculous . I don't know how many times I would have to hit somebody twice before they die or throw 2 or 3 blades within melee range for it to connect with an opponent. The phoenix dive is a great concept but it takes way to long to engage. The top skill tree is garbage, the only decent thing about it is the Icarus dash but it has a 10 second cool down and the rifts are great in PVE but are practically irrelevant in PVP, I pop a healing rift and u have to sit in it to build an over shield so you're a sitting duck which doesn't give you advantage since the game is so movement based. The damage rift doesn't effect damage enough to make it usable.
Voidlock is still reliable but with blink nerfed and your maneuverability while throwing your nova is stunted, trying to hit a hunter with double jump, dodge, invisibility and Gemini jesters you can only use the spirit bomb if your hoping to hit them. In PVP running anything other then Spirit bomb is pointless. I know what your thinking, voidlocks have the devour perk. Yes they do and its great for PVE but in PVP, good friggn luck, with the TTK the way it is if you're taking on 2 decent players more then likely you will die before you can benefit from it.
Stormlock is probably the most balanced and is great in PVE but in PVP its very situational and you either need to catch opponents off guard or pick them off one by one again because of TTK and team shooting.
I understand TTK and team shooting are challenging for all in the crucible but the warlocks have it the worst by far. I don't know the number but I feel that the warlocks are the least used class followed by the titans and then the hunters. The nightstalkers are OP in the crucible. I'm surprised Bungie hasn't given them a nuke button at this point, they have the most mobility and a directional jump which makes it hard enough to keep track of them but then add invis, dodge and smoke on top of it. Not to mention the gemini jester, I had a nightstalker literally run through my stromtrance without taking any damage because of the misdirection perk.
What really erks me is with the upcoming updates there is no mention of a warlock buff. Ya they are boosting the jumps but that is across the board for all classes. I'm not saying that other classes are perfect and don't need tweeking, but the least used class in the game isn't getting a buff. I'm scared the warlocks are just going to fall farther behind.
Whats your opinion? Am I the only one concerned about this? I've looked in the forums and nobody is talking about warlocks. I just want to know if I'm the only one that feels this way and if i am well Idk maybe i'm just a d*** and nobody has love for the warlocks anymore.
Sorry for my grammar and punctuation lolz

Warlocks are not good in d2
-
Yeah warlocks are 💩. I switched 2 hunter ,warlocks are getting the D in destiny 2.

There's literally another topic about 3 posts down from this one saying Warlocks are OP and need to be nerfed. You and that dude should get together and figure out which way this should go before Bungie decides to listen to one of you and piss the other one off. :) (Also, yet another PvP-based take on classes - classes and subclasses are built for PvE, Crucible is a gunfight. Use guns. If people spent more time shooting rather than trying to drop a rift [or spent less time rushing a Warlock standing in an Arc Soul rift] this wouldn't be a problem. Every class has strengths and weaknesses, play smart and it all balances out. Play less-smart, and...well, that's not Bungie's problem.)

3 of the same character, how the fudge are you not totally bored.....

Titans and Warlocks need a buff, Hunters need some Ritalin. It’s all good if Hunters can go invis and dodge and change direction on a dime, but if as a Titan I get ahold of one, he should be DRT (dead right there). Hunters should not be able to out melee a Titan or Warlock. Warlocks need something, not sure what it is, but they seem kind of stale at the time being.
-
Run Titan with Sunbreaker, Better Devils, Uriels Gift, and then Wardcliff. You'll be shattering their asses left and right.
-
Warlocks need a buff of some kind, I meet hunters hit them they hit back then I hit, so they hit back and I'm dead 😱🇼 🇹 🇫. Our melee has been covered in cotton wool, it's like we're using 8oz gloves while our opponents are using Brass knuckles, get it sorted bungie give the Voidwalker some love.
-
We are talking in PVP terms only then I'd say warlocks and Titans need bringing up to the same standard as the hunter has been lately. buffs certainly do need to be put in place what bothers me the most is the jump height for hunters and the warlocks needs improving to the same standards as a Titan

I am fairly certain that Warlock is one of the 3 strogest classes in D2. You literally have higher survivability than the other 3 classes. Learn to play to your classes strengths. Warlocks are good at guarding positions and supporting their team. Don't rush with a Warlock.

I just find it dumb how the devour voidwalker, designed around health regen, can get their grenades back much faster (while also getting health) than the choas voidwalker, which is focused on strong grenades. I’m fine with consuming a grenade restoring all your health instantly but getting kills (of any kind) while devour is active still restores the same amount of health in addition to restoring grenade energy is pretty bonkers. Meanwhile every other health restoring ability only restores a small amount and triggers regen. Consuming a grenade should restore all of your health, but kills with devour active should not imo. Side-note: I do dislike how continuing to hold down L1 after completing the grenade overcharge animation still takes super energy despite it not getting stronger. They should only take set amount of super energy. Also I’m pretty sure over charging grenades doesn’t directly increase their damage. I mean super energy is very valuable especially in PvP, so why not make the overcharge stronger.

Dawnblade is tanking and needs serious help: https://guardian.gg/2/class-stats?platform=console&mode=5&start=2018-02-13&end=2018-02-20 I'll make one prediction about class tuning: Nightstalker invisibility in the Way of Trapper goes bye-bye and they leave it exclusive to Pathfinder.

Изменено (UrOnlyChild): 2/20/2018 3:41:30 AMMost people who play still are the OP Nightstalker Hunter class, and they will shut down any idea of any other class having drawbacks. The Nightstalkers don't want the other classes getting needed buffs. Warlocks have a healing rift that heals so little that a gunfight most likely will be unaffected by a rift. Nightstalkers have a misleading smoke that affects enemy radar, a dodge ability, and a invisibility perk to dodge making it great for flanking or escaping.

Dawn blade is a reskin of hammers for Titan so lazy
-
TL;DR Warlocks buff? Yes please! Bring back my sunsinger ffs. Self Rez - god damnit yes!
-
I miss my sunsinger with sunbracers :(
-
Yeah, warlock are the most underused class in the game. I hardly ever see them in PvP. I mostly see full teams of hunters or half hunter and half Titan.
-
Warlocks have the healing rift and a pulse nade and that's about it. Like much of the game they NERFed what made the character fun to use. I used to love using radiance, but I've only used dawnblade for completing the strike challenges. The powers need to be reworked. Solar nades were trash last time I tested them. Nova bomb for PVE bosses and it isn't useful beyond that.
-
Warlocks... those bath robe wearing nerds can take a hike. Hunter Master Race!
-
Dawnblade needs work, but I'd say Warlocks are okay. The top tree of Nightstalker is problematic, but Gunslinger is fine and Arcstrider needs work. I'd say Titans are in the best spot right now. Lift is still great, both Barricades are great, and 5 out of 6 subclass trees are great. The bottom tree of Striker doesn't really offer much at the moment compared to the top tree. Invisibility and Smoke Bombs showing up on the radar makes Nightstalker the go-to class for the high level PvP players right now. Maybe decrease the effectiveness of both in exchange for improving the effectiveness of Shadowshot, like leaving some aim assist on invisible players and making Smoke Bombs not show up on the radar in exchange for making the tether activate quicker and arrows suppress on hit.

Void Warlock is the only class to run. Titans are too bulky, hunters are too soft.
-
There is a reason why almost all the top 5 players on all three platforms in all PvP modes are hunters. And Bungie is going to buff them.
-
I did better as a warlock actually. They have much higher survivability. Blink isn’t nerfed, not compared to how it was at the end of D1. And at least locks still have it. I had some trouble with dawnblade on occasion, but I’ve never had anyone survive a hit from it. I have a friend who was deadly with it in pvp, so for those who fit the play style, it’s very effective. And arc soul was just lovely.

My Hunter is a main I PvP with a warlock. If you think they are broken your not play a void sub class.
-
I’ve made that complaint months ago. When you activate dawnblade you can’t see shit because you’re on f’king fire.
-
The shitty Glide we get is the only thing that balances it out.
