Good. Let it die.
Do I need to remind you of what started the "Bungie, nerf (something that isn't broken)" trend? Trials.
Do I need to remind you of what caused Bungie to neglect PvE (the core of the game) in updates and sequels? Trials.
Do I need to remind you of what made Bungie think this game was fit for esports? Trials.
If Trials is finally dying, then goodbye and good riddance. Maybe Bungie will be able to focus on creating actual content rather than constantly stressing about a "balance" in PvP that will never be achieved.

Изменено (Mr Buldopz): 2/21/2018 9:39:58 PMThe extremely limited number of players who have gone flawless should be the only statistic bungie needs to either make this way less competitive, or drop the focus on it all together. You don’t put the majority of your focus on your smallest demographic, that’s just the first rule of business.

Изменено (Dardex): 2/20/2018 2:11:03 PMIf people want to play trials that badly then bungie should make them pay $5 for a ticket at the beginning of each week, plus an additional $2 for every extra round of games. Fits the current Bungie M-O dont you think?
-
Why do keep asking "do I need to remind you" and then doing it anyway. I answered no but you don't listen for shit, maybe you should apply at bungie.
-
Glad it's dead.
-
Agree, pvp ruined many aspects of Destiny and now it’s doing the same thing with Destiny 2.
-
Trials is a cesspool of sewage... the sooner it's purged from the game the better!
-
Why is there a question mark at the end of your title? Trials dying is a fact. I could play 15 games now and not see someone under a 1kd. Or see 4 games in a row people with 3+ kd. It’s awesome
-
Lmao this is the shit casual plebs actually believe.
-
The first nerfs affecting everyone were the Vex Mythoclast and the Auto Rifle nerf. Both were even before TDB. Trials was a great gametype that was butchered without reason when D2 came out.
-
Trials is cancer to this game. Would not shed one single tear if they cut it out altogether.
-
Yes this game is dying and it makes me happy. If you want to play a much better game with a lot of content and replay value. Go pick up a copy of Monster Hunter World. You're welcome.
-
All these streamers suddenly out of jerbs.
-
Pvp was fun in d1 year one everyone was op that made destiny 1 better than destiny 2 but kids bitching about weapons and abilities that’s why d2 sucks

Theyd be much better off leaving PvP as an afterthought and really focusing on PvE. I know their opinion is that PvP is easier to release content for and generates Twitch views, but the numbers on Destiny speak for themselves. People want an open world exploration game. They don't want another generic shooter. We already have tons of MOBAs and FPS competitive esport games, etc. What the world doesn't really have is a PvE FPS MMO. They could really run away with that idea if they decided to invest in it. I'm a classic example of someone who sinks a lot of time into both PVE and PVP but PVE is always first. I do love the daily PVP grind when I'm bored, but I'll always be a COOP PVE player, first. I will play the crap out of games like Monster Hunter, which has no PVP. I won't play the crap out of Call of Duty. In fact, I don't even play COD or CSGO or League anymore. Bungie, for the love of God, people will be online by the millions if you just dedicate your time and effort to building a massive open world with tons of dungeons and bosses and crafting and economy and modding and questing etc. Just do it already.

Trials was the original reason so much shit got nerfed.

Изменено (IllegalBLAZE): 2/20/2018 6:34:31 PMAlso the reason why we have 2 primary slots and no longer feel powerful without an option for a heavy and fusion, shotgun or sniper in your loadout.

They could change a few minor things in trials and it would be the thing that brings people back. A way that pve people could enjoy trials..... while not pissing off sweaty trials players. Bounties through zur. Ranked trials. Single que trials. 4 players vs 4 cpu player trials. New loot. Hidden loot. Exotics hidden. Adept weapons. Something for everyone.
-
Many players stay away from trials because there is no matchmaking.

Изменено (Ravontulet): 2/19/2018 3:11:12 PMI couldn't agree more. The lag, the cheaters and the paid carries... Trials causing changes to regular PVP and PVE and hurting the game for the sake of a toxic and BS game mode ? I couldn't be happier if Trials shriveled up and blew away at this rate. I want to see PVE content. Back to a PVE campaign like we were promised back in 2014. PVP should have always been a sideline on this game and not cause major nerfs and game changes, like weapon load outs, this PVP-centric focus has to stop.

It’s already dead

Изменено (Gouf): 2/20/2018 5:28:13 AMnot just a trials the game itself is dying and bungie is "Listening"

Изменено (FLEXIBLE03): 2/20/2018 6:32:35 PMI don’t Think i ever heard Bungie employees specifically say they want Crucible to be on the main stage like MLG (I don’t think there was a goal to do that). Crucible should have been left to be over the top with abilities and guns. Just feels stale to play.

Admittedly, I loved trials in D1. I even called for nerfs, but never in a public forum. I only said so in emotional outbursts in-game. I recognized those were my failings in my gameplay. I went flawless multiple times and used to have fun doing it, but Trials of the Nine is no bueno. Went flawless once and didn't touch it again. I don't think they'll ever take it away, though. It's sort of the end-game version of PvP like Raids are for PvE. I could hope they would, but realistically they won't.

It is dead. The only people left playing it are cheaters and the basement-dwelling mopheads doing paid carries. -

If 99/100 feedback posts are regarding "pvp balance" odds are, thats what will be focused on. Trials or not, as long as pvp is semi-competitive, people will look for avenues to exploit to get an edge. If that means starting a "nerf" campaign against a class, subclass, ability, weapon or perk, then thats what will happen.
