The worst thing about this situation is no one is talking about dedicated servers anymore.
or faster tick rates.
Its a shame. Crucible is still terrible on all platforms. It is so Random and Inconsistent its kind of a joke. Couple that with the hold hands meta, no wonder why all the streamers are quitting.
Here's my issues:
-HC inconsistency. Sometimes I get two tapped (Even though its not possible, and sometimes I don't)
-Killed around corners constantly.
-One game I go 3-15, the very next round I go 12-0.
-Being matched up against Japanese, and S. Americans, when I live in the USA East coast.
I know dedicated servers arent perfect but if they added Dedicated Servers and a higher tickrate model, you would see a way better game. AND no one is talking this anymore. They will though, when 6s are brought back into the mix. It will be a shit show again.

well the PC gamers - where the esports people are - said they wont come back for PVP without them. I asked my son - he does csgo - when was the last time he got booted from a pvp game and he had to stop and think and said - I THINK it was like 2 years ago. many of the streamers said private and custom matches wont matter unless they fix connection issues. PVP will remain for casuals without them

Well, I agree with you. Sometimes the crucible is a real mess. I really wish that Bungie is looking forward about this topic, but I don't think we'll get dedicated servers until the next destiny game. And even then...who knows?

Bump. Ubisoft Montreal shut down For Honor to add dedicated servers. Despite connection issues, FH was a ton of fun. Can’t wait to play it again!

It's just a tiny part of the train wreck that is pvp. As much as I hated pvp in D1 I liked it a ton better than what we have now. Another thing they should do is that you shouldn't have to play folks that aren't on your continent: US and Canada play each other, europe plays each other, asia plays each other, and so on since they can't seem to get around lag like every other game does.

I think players exhausted their feedback on dedicated servers in D1 forums but gave up on it when D2 neglected to implement. It's pretty much a lost cause. It will never happen and the majority of players realize this. It would be nice I do admit. I can relate with other side of the planet players... I get matched with s Americans and Europeans none stop. Even players in Japan, it's ridiculous. If I try to geo filter to a reasonable distance I'll be in orbit waiting forever for a match. It's definitely not connection based. I can guarantee that.

1 ответYes thank you SA players lagging like he'll with God mode it seems like 90% of the time I should not be matched up against people in some third world country with complete crap internet, Spain and BR players lagging not taking damage.

They have a few servers. Mostly for launching the game. I don't see any reason to beat that horse anymore, they aren't listening anyway.

Yesterday I lost a game in trials because something happened when I was defusing the bomb. Everybody on the other team was dead, and I was defusing. Yet I was not moving around nor did I let go of the X button to defuse. It finished, indicating that I defused it, then a second later the "Hold X to defuse" popped up again and the bomb blew up. Might have been with the fact that someone on the other team was lagging their ass off

This is normal in Destiny for the majority of players. The ones that are on the good side of latency are streaming. 3 years of frustration in Destiny 1 for me, with the hope that Destiny 2 will have dedicated servers. And now we have Destiny 2 and still nothing has been changed. So yes, WE WANT DEDICATED SERVERS Bungie!
