Guide for Beginners of Understanding What Lore is

I see a lot of people from even Destiny 1 complaining about lore. Where is it? Is there any lore? Of course, there is lore but you forget one thing. What lore is. Let me give you a crash course on what lore is so you have a better understanding of how it works in an FPS-MMORPG. I will try to make this simple and not sound aggressive because I tend to be hostile when it comes towards something simple like this. First, what is the definition of lore? Lore means, according to dictionary.com, means a body of traditions and knowledge on a subject or held by a particular group, typically passed from person to person by word of mouth. In other words, history about a specific topic. Synonyms of Lore are wisdom, learning, and knowledge. Did you get that? You have to learn and let us be honest, do you honestly expect them to have everything explained in that campaign? Or in any campaign? It'd be too long. Too many explanations that we wouldn't really pay attention nor understand. Lore nuts like myself would and probably go frame by frame but for someone casual, they prefer to get straight to the point. The campaign described that. Strikes gave some hints of future expansion and more interesting things about some of our favorite characters and upcoming enemies such as the new Taken leader who will be Oryx's sister. Savathun. Now then. For lore to be effective we need to understand how Bungie can deliver lore without boring us. Walk around the world and activate your ghost. You'll see highlighted objects that your Ghost can scan. The comments are vague at times but they becoming interesting when you look stuff up. Google saves lives. And it's not hard and if you play Destiny, you have a computer and you can easily look things up. I did for my video and I'm quite proud of it. If you've heard of World of Warcraft, the lore is....big....I mean really god damn big. Not as big and...well Warhammer because I dislike the amount of lore and...I want to say garbage, but I prefer to say "What the hell is this?" about that lore. Anyway, the way WoW puts in lore is by interacting with the NPCs, of characters in the game. The quests even explain to you what to do and give some nice story behind it. It's a lot of reading and since you're used to reading on a computer, they can get away with it. But for Destiny, it's not as simple. Sure, there is Mass Effect that has an index with lore, but they talk for you. Bungie would rather pay their programmers and networkers than pay the voice actors to talk more. I prefer having the servers the way they are now rather than have them be worse. So in Destiny 2. Explore. For Destiny 1 the lore was on the website which is a mistake, but now it isn't. It's in the game itself. Not in the grimoire like before. There are many videos and even wikia about the lore. And I know for a fact most people look things up in the wikia or look them up on Youtube because people explain it for you. Then you can argue and flame as much as you want in the comments. Does this give you guys an idea? I love the game a lot and there is lore, you just need to find it. If you don't want to find it? Then the game isn't for you. Play the Crucible and get gewd. I have a link of an example video above. It's my own but I do want to get more involved with the lore section of the forums. If you read all, most, skimmed, or just went straight to flame me, have a good day. Game on Guardians.
