Timer in Nightfall hurts guided games - matchmaking please!

I'm a casual player, and have only just joined a guild. I still use the guided games option, but I've found any Nightfall with the 'anomalies' modifier means I have to wait 30+ minutes to get a group, then attempt it once, fail, and my guides quit. I've read in these forums people defending the timer on Nightfalls as it simply requires coordination, tactics, and a solid game plan. If I'm requesting a guided game, and it takes 30 minutes just to wait before I can have a crack, it becomes slightly unrealistic to achieve this unless I luck out with the group. I can handle the random factor with who I'm grouping with - the extended wait for another attempt I can't. I'm sure I sound like a broken record, but why, oh why, can we not just have matchmaking on this (and raids)? It's my choice to group with people that may not know the events back-to-front, but it's the only way a player can learn outside of well-managed groups: i.e. trial and error. It doesn't effect the pro players in the slightest as they will have groups they can rely on anyway. All it does is lock down content to the more casual players like myself. It should be noted, I do appreciate the effort towards attempting this as opposed to D1. I never once did a Nightfall nor a raid for this very reason. Half the content never seen, which is a shame because i love the game.
