Dealing With Cheaters: Bungie vs. Blizzard
As most of you already know, Bungie's response to players cheating is pathetic at best, with many reporting seeing known cheaters continue to practice their scumbag arts after being reported to kingdom come.
Blizzard however, seems to take a much harsher approach. I must say, the cheater tears were incredibly sweet in this video! (Almost cathartic, really...)
For the record, I've been primarily a Destiny player until very recently. Picked up Overwatch, and am enjoying it immensely.
It makes me sad though, that Bungie fails to take proper action. They've lost some of my respect, and Blizzard has gained it.
Here's hoping D2 will see a change. I [i]really do[/i] want to be able to trust Bungie to take care of us, to protect us from cheater's garbage. I don't think they've achieved that in D1.

I really don't get the point of hacking/cheating. Doesn't having everything and/or being invincible get boring? I'd be bored to death in les than 5 minutes, I really don't understand what makes a person want to do it.

I made a pretty sweet youtube video of this guy basically admitting to booting people, put screenshots in of his past 8 games that were all wins against 0-1 players even though he hasn't played a legit game in his life... he's a .3 kd with 2175 elo that states in his clan tag he does carries every weekend 😂.. and a video of him being to OP afk in spawn finding our ips and booting us 1 by 1. Id link it but that's naming and shaming butttt if you so happen to search captainw1nky on YouTube up vote the video and help report him maybe he will get banned. A guy already commented on the video that he reported the guy last weekend after his team was booted by him and I checked after I reported him yesterday and sure enough he's still playing carrying I mean booting people all the way flawless.

I have no idea why they can't hold up against regular gimp ddos attacks, I mean, it should never even reach their server farms, albeit, what do i know :) the whole ddosing thing has everyone wearing the best trials emblem whilst people that are garbage like moi, havent gotten a single emblem, not that it matters, but schtill... what kinda feeling does it give to have something you really didnt work for? I wouldnt want to have anything like that. Maybe I'm strange. Three fiddy cents...

10 отв.Since Bungie say they will be using cloud servers instead of p2p for D2 then it should be easier for them to track deliberate connection manipulation and ddos should be a thing of the past as your opponents should not be able to find your IP address.

5 отв.The reason why Bungie doesn't hammer down (no pun intended) on cheaters is because they don't want to lose anyone in their player base and lose money. Additionally, they take down threads reporting cheaters because they don't want any newcomers to think "Wow, there must be a lot of cheaters in Destiny" (which is actually true), but it ultimately backfires in their face. If Bungie doesn't step it up big time on their cheating regulation, they're going to get trampled, [i]especially[/i] on PC.

This week in trials my buddy and I got ddosed by some asshole and the friend who was the last player reported all of them but when I check their history I see them still play the game and it really frustrates me that they are still online playing the game...I said -blam!- it and switched to titanfall2

Bungie needs to give Destiny to Blizzard. Than it would be a great game again. Blizzard knows how to balance things and keep there community happy. They respond to feedback from all sources from the overwatch fourmes to reddit. They constantly pump out content and as you stated above, fixes problems. And the best part it, half complete washed up content isnt being sold as a DLC. [spoiler]Blizzard>Bungie[/spoiler]

1 ответMy fireteam and I were dosed on June 29th in elimination (strange yeah) two of us kicked out! We logged back on not thinking anything of it but unbelievably we matched against the same team who proceeded to dos two of us again! We all reported for cheating (on my warlock June 29th elimination just before rumble private match! Anyway we have all reported them everyday since! Bungie have done nothing at all In fact I checked their accounts today and they have cheated at trials all weekend along with anyone on their fire team! They did two people every game but bungie still do nothing! Huge rewards for cheaters! You say you lost some respect for bungie I however have zero respect for them as I genuinely believe they encourage it and completely turn a blind eye! It's pathetic
