As the title says, I am trying to build a PC. I have about a $1100 budget for all of the parts and peripherals and I want something that will be relatively future proof. I have my heart set on an Nvidia graphics card (probably a GTX 970) and some form of Intel i5 or better processor. I will primarily be using this PC for gaming and school work so it doesn't need to be ridiculous but I'd like recommendations for what else to put in it. I also need suggestions for how to get a cheaper OS because I don't really want to get scammed but I also don't want to shell out $90 or so for Windows 8 just to upgrade it to 10.
