Simple question, wondering after a large absence of this forum where the community is in terms of lore and the hidden story of destiny. Honestly I think a lot of it is read into too much by theories, while some of it is clearly a hidden story some of it is just the Devs trying to make something up that sounds interesting enough.
Note:somehow the word "thing" turned into John. Polls can't be edited so I can't fix that.

Lore is the only reason I even keep the game.

If you don't care about the lore then you haven't read any of it yet.

Изменено (Majora): 10/10/2016 2:01:25 PMI really enjoy the lore! Reading the Grimoire Cards really holds my interest and is one of my favourite things to do in my free time. Some of my favourite topics are the Fallen, the Awoken/Queen, past Guardians like Kabr, Saint-14, Dregen Yor, Wei Ning, etc, but my favourite thing so far was definitely the Book of Sorrows. I've read the entire Book of Sorrows probably 5+ times now. Something about it just really makes me think.

I just wish that more of the lore was implemented into the game. As most of us know, the awkward launch of Destiny was a bit disappointing for me, knowing what the game and story would have been like. Having the grimoire as an detached, external feature was not convenient for players (like me) that's used to most of the lore accessible or interactive within the game. Hopefully, Destiny 2 will have a clear, comprehensive, engaging story that really captures the audience attention with lively characters, iconic cutscenes, and definitive moments. They have a huge opportunity for the sequel. Bungie showed us they can have our character embedded into the "new generation of Iron Lords, etc." That feeling of being the hero next to heroes really needs to expand, maybe be the main factor, for Destiny 2. I play DBZ Xenoverse and others games like it partly for that reason. I've always loved that concept.

A vast and intricate story that should have been implemented with the base game.
I'm not salty or anything, I'm just stating how cool it would have been.
I love the lore, and love talking theories with my buddies. I know it is a pain reading it in the app, but gotta do something in the toilet right? Lol. Understanding the lore actually does make the game more enjoyable.

Something that should of been implemented into the story instead of the sidelines like it was nothing important

Destiny has such bag story's that the community had to reach for what they think the universe is. The grimoire is great, but it's hard to find and all the good stuff will never be in the game

I don't care about you or your edits! I've never written a John and the world will know, damn it!

Idk about anyone else but I'm really into the lore. Just last night my buddy and I had a 30 minute talk about the 4(?) cabal looking ships on the crucible map vertigo and why the cabal would need to be there and also why the vex chose to come to mercury in the first place

I really like the lore of Destiny and in the same time I feel very disapointed with the amount of stuff that could be done or explained and they never did. Bungie could write some books about the stories of old guardians to gain some money instead of just releasing expensive DLCs that includes more and more doubts.
