Why were Nothing Manacles nerfed?
The Nothing Manacles might as well be renamed to the Non Tracking Tickle Monsters because they are downright weak now.
They're ok in PVE but your throw has to be pretty much on top of them. In PVP, you're better off ditching them for something else.
I just want to know what was the point behind hitting these with the nerf bat?

They used to be incredibly overpowered. As a Voidwalker, I could toss a grenade anywhere near an enemy and they would die

Throwing Scatter Grenades into a corner or a small room where one or more players are camping works wonders. Got a triple-down within 15 seconds of a Trials round the other day chucking just one into the corridor on the opposite side of the building on Asylum. It helps to use Bloom with it. The most annoying thing about it is the glitch where it doesn't detonate, just bounces in place.

I got them so early. The moment how dropped I got them from my first nightfall. And I ran them for so long. And now they are shit. Bungie just nerfs things to seem like they are trying to fix the game.

I mean even in there old form you still had to be really close to get a fatal hit and if you knew how to use them you would shrekt peeps which seems fair as tripe mine can be sticks mines and cc all at the same damn time. #makemanaclegreatagain

They're absolutely rubbish now. My favourite exotic prior to the nerf.

Right now it just requires a lot of preemptive use either know where the enemy might go or simply killing a corner camper. They're also great for priming enemies. Still the nerf was unnecessary and random much like the Achlyophage Symbiote. I don't see a problem, even after the nerf. I'm still quarterbacking my scatters directly at my target or at their feet at worst (which really isn't).

Yeah never seemed overpowered to me, surprising sure but that's what exotics are supposed to do anyway. Even weirder to think about how they buffed the gauntlets for hunters giving them another trip mine. That was already OP to begin with, now it's even worse.

I've been using scatter grenades while using ram with decent success. Only a direct hit will kill but works great to hit a wounded enemy around the corner.

They nerfed everything from year one of value. Just in case.
